Great show about the love of motorcycling

I just finished the first episode and to me this is the TV version of "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". Norman, who seems like a genuinely good human being, shares his love and enthusiasm of motorcycling. There is nothing shocking, groundbreaking, or thrilling about the show. It is just a relaxing way to enjoy an hour of television for motorcycle enthusiasts in a way that will put a smile on your face. I live in Monterey and work in Santa Cruz, so I especially enjoyed seeing all the familiar places in this episode. But still, I look forward to seeing places that I haven't been in the future episodes.

Engaging Motorcycle Series

Okay. So this review is coming a year late. I've nothing negative to say though. I thoroughly enjoyed this survey of motorcycle culture and made me more than a little envious. Don't lose your wonderful enthusiasm. I hope you'll be following all this up with a second series. I've only ridden a motorcycle once in my life but I can say with confidence that I enjoyed it. I'd like to see more! -Alisa C.

Ignore the reviews about the sound levels!

This is a great show about motorbike culture, Americana and camaraderie. Makes me want to go out and learn to ride at the age of 40+. It's like a warm comfort blanket. Great to watch in the evening with a drink in hand. Filled with beautiful scenery from across the states and a cast of interesting locals and subcultures.

There are a bunch of reviews complaining about the sound levels. I strongly suspect each of these people are watching the show via a dodgy stream and have chosen a poor source. It happened to me once (it's the only way I can watch this in the UK), but I picked a different source and it was fine.

Great show and locations

I like the show very much. My son and I both watch it. I have been riding bikes for a little over 45 years and I will never stop. I am now 59. Normans narrations about his rides are very interesting and the off beat location like his Florida trip. (I live in Florida) I thought it was also interesting how he talks about the different bike shops he stops at in- between his other locations. I also like the way he shows on a map the starting point of his trip, the locations in-between and the end destination.

Great show Norman, thank you Please keep the show going. If you are ever in Central Florida let's go for a ride. Bernard Facebook Harmony Riders, Harmony Florida

Great show!

This is one of the best shows on motorcycle riding and adventuring on tv. Norman's narrations and selections of guest riders are fantastic. The photography and cinematography are superb as well. He shows so much respect to his guests on the show and takes pleasure in exploring different cultures. I love the simplicity and relaxed nature of the show. His love of riding and motorcycles is sincere. It is simply one of my favorite shows on the internet. People are lucky to be his friend and to get to enjoy time with him. I hope he always finds peace throughout his life. Ride on brother!

Damn good series

If you into bikes or just love seeing new places, meeting new people and love different types of food and cultures. This is your show. Norman covers everything.

Norman is an awesome host and the guests he has on his show are true down to earth people. Do your self a favor and just watch one episode and you will be hooked.

Keeping it real.

Thoroughly Enjoyed Ride!

It was great! The places they travel to are well known, but I'm being introduced to so many new things! I've added a whole lot more places to my travel list that I probably wouldn't have been too interested in! I also saw a whole other side to Norman Reedus! WOW!! Loved every bit of it! P.S. I might look into getting me bike! Lolol

One of the Best Riding Shows

I watch all of the motorcycling shows on TV and Ride with Norman Reedus is the best. Alton Brown's short series was too raw and Dennis Gates' shows were too slick and lacked depth in local contact and content. Others vary in between. Ride... is a great mix of bikes, riding, local color, and people encountered on the way. Every episode is like a real ride with new locales and people encountered mixed with the ride that we all as motorcyclist know well. The variety of bikes reinforce motorcycling as a whole and no specific group with a more limited focus. On a tour in Senoia with my wife (I am not a "Walking Dead" fan) a rat bike cruised up and down the street several times. The tour guide commented that the rider was not Norman. My comment to my wife was "I know it is not Reedus because he knows how to ride and the poser going up and down the street doesn't". Thanks for the show and keep it up.

Sound is terrible

I really wanted to watch this series as I love bikes and like Norman Reedus but I had to turn it off half way through episode 1, the music is so loud I couldn't hear a word anyone said, it's ridiculous. It's a real shame as the show looks great. I tried watching on Amazon so not sure if it's anything to do with them or the original editing but I found it unwatchable.

Good-natured, all style, curated for hipness

Norm is a good guy, and treats the locals politely and as friends. It's high gloss hipster-travel and carefully curated brands in clothing, bikes, and locations.

Season 6 episode featuring his female guest and him in Portugal is branding and promotion of her business. Everything about her appearance is carefully constructed. I give him credit for acknowledging that Americans, through their instagram travel and luxury spending, have ruined Portugal and other wonderful places.

I hope people take the hint.

Norm and his guests have limited vocabulary and use the "brocabulary" words like "Right?", "Dude" (even in addressing women), "good vibes", "Thank you SO much", and even "Adorable!" There's only so many times you can describe a landscape or ocean view as "beautiful" and have it be authentic.

It's light-hearted fare. It's a love-fest. It's sort of a guys' fantasy show. The filming is the best part and the location shooting with drones and on-bike cams and microphones are great. Its a good show for glossy travel ideas.

What's up with the music drowning out the talking!?

I really like the show, however I'm watching it on prime and the damn music is 3x as loud as the narrator!! What the hell. I would of gave it an 8.

The #1 riding show that actually allows the viewer to come as close as possible and gain the feeling of being there on the bike themselves.

Love the show, makes me wish my bike didn't get stolen & wish I could ride along with Norman, we'd ride to the Dragon's tail.. Having ridden for many years, with several clubs, and having it be such a large part of my life. The show really makes me appreciate the memories and it does an excellent job of allowing the viewer to feel a part of the ride itself... Only thing missing is the wind in your face & the hummingbird in your beard..

Love this show Sound is fixed!!

One of the best shows ever showing the love and passion of riding. rewatching on amazon prime and the sound is balanced now as it was when first aired on AMC. Been riding more than 50 years and have been on some of the roads featured. How about a Sturgis episode? The Black hills/Badlands is my next ride. If you do ride you will love this show. If you dont ride you will wish you did.

What's up with the bad sound?!!!

My first audio engineering job?! I thought my speaker had blown out until I read that other people had the same experience. Can't say much about the show, sound was too distracting.

Sound is mixed poorly

Is it only when watching on Amazon or is the dialog track too quiet from the studio? No matter how high I turn the vol the music totally drowns out the dialog. Totally sucks because the content appears to be outstanding but I can't watch it because it's way too frustrating.

What's up with the sound ?

Seems an entertaining show but unfortunately unwatchable, the music totally drowns out the speech, didn't anyone actually watch this before it was released ? Shame it would have been a good watch.

Loud music drowns out everything else. Fail!

How can this product pass through so many people's ears and onto final production and NOBODY said " excuse me, the music is WAY TOO F'KIN LOUD". Somehow that actually happened here, smh.

Sound is awful I had to turn it off.

Gave this 2 star as I like Norman but in my opinion it's unwatchable. I don't know who threw this together but everything sucks, the sound quality is terrible the music drowns out the narration but from what I could hear the narration was poor also. All round shameful.

The sound levels ruins it

When music is playing, you can't hear Norman talking, I could mixed the sound better myself and I don't have clue how to do it....

Interesting destinations, people etc, but ruined by a amateur sound edit

Hard to watch all the Euro bikes

In a show about exploring America on a motorcycle it seems odd that the show would be flooded with so many Triumphs and Ducatis. As best I can tell they only show 2 American bikes thru the entire show. A Confederate Hellcat (a specialty boutique bike) and a Sportster (The weeniest of the Harley's).

No Dynas or Fatboys. No Indians. No Vulcans. No Japanese bikes whatsoever. Nothing but a flood of overpriced, electrically challenged Triumphs.

I'll never understand the pervasive idea that anything from Europe must be better. And in this case it's a slap in the face to American motorcyclists.
