I feel Melissa brings a genuine, caring compassionate feeling to the show. Many comments are suggestive that it's not as good or as funny now as in the past. I don't think every situation involving these children and their skills/talent needs to be turned into a comedy act like the previous seasons. I feel Melissa relates very well to the children and I appreciate the passion Melissa brings to the show! I'm a fan and like it much better!!!
I just love this show and watch with my grandson every week. So far all the kids have been awesome and do a great job in their perspective talent. I only have two peeves (hence the 8 votes)
1, Steve Harvey needs to cut out the innuendo. This is a family show and when he starts trying to hook up little boys and girls with each other, then it's going too far. They are children, leave their innocence alone.
2, Don't make this about race. The young girl who "inspired" us with her poem should not have been on there. If it had been the other way around it would not have been allowed. And of course she knew it by heart because it was drummed into her.

Steve Harvey is on fire. He saved the syndicated version of Family Feud from cancellation when he took over as host in 2010 and also hosts ABC'S summer hit Celebrity Family Family. He's also the host of his successful morning radio show, a daytime talk show, the Miss Universe Pageant and now NBC's showcase for talented youngsters Little Big Shots.
Airing Sunday nights on NBC, it is a refreshing and entertaining alternative to the investigative reporting on CBS'S 60 Minutes and the network's drama NCIS-Los Angeles. The kids are the stars of the show as they perform for Harvey and the audience. But it's Harvey who makes the show a hit. He doesn't talk down to the kids and brings plenty of humor like Family Feud to the proceedings.
There have been a number of young singers and dancers as well as a youngster who have an encyclopedic knowledge of US presidents. If you have never seen Little Big Shots, watch it and you'll see why it's a big hit.

Ellen DeGeneres has done a good job showcasing young talent on her show, and those spots have been successful. It's very smart of her to turn the concept into its own show. Steve Harvey (who is also an executive producer) is the right guy to host this show, because he is quick-witted and he provides a comedic bridge between the kids and the audience.
These kids are either very talented or they have a viral internet presence--or both. First Steve sets them down and talks with them, invoking the "Kids Say the Darnedest Things" vibe that Art Linkletter pioneered decades ago on "The Linkletter Show" aka "House Party". Young children can be relied upon to provide unfiltered, quirky interviews that are lovable and hilarious.
Then the kids get to display their talents, which can range from classical piano to auctioneering. From kung fu to dancing. One can only hope that the show keeps up the level of talent displayed in the first three episodes. One four-year-old pianist appears to have what it takes to make his mark in later years. A singer from Croatia, at age 13, could be destined for Broadway.
The show is fun to watch, and both parts of the show work well.

This show is absolutely amazing and adorable. Steve is so great with these kids and does NOT take any of the credit for their talent whatsoever. He is simply showcasing the talents of some of the amazing kids that make up our world! A total break from the regular TV shows and me and my boyfriend absolutely LOVE this show. The negative reviews honestly just sound like haters that don't like seeing Steve everywhere! Give him credit for his tremendous energy because it takes a lot of passion to be on so many shows weekly!! Go Steve!! And thank you for your hardwork and continuous efforts to make television enjoyable again
