Vicky surely had a promising pitch it tells us the story of Victoire Bonhomme (Victoria Bedos), a 30-year-old girl wedged between an egocentric and conservative father (François Berléand), an unbearable brother (Jonathan Cohen) and a modern mother who is resigned to her boring life (Chantal Lauby).

The film opens with a succession of demonstrative sequences that gives the film its notes of imbalance the narrative bogs down from its establishment by taking us to the heart of frankly embarrassing flashbacks between masturbation, coitus and discovery of the first pubic hair to the disastrous amorous and professional life of the protagonist.

In brief a dispensable musical that tries to try things without ever giving a meaning to its whole what saves this movie is the music. The songs, written by Victoria Bedos are hilarious and catchy. Enjoy the songs.

Asked about her nude sex scenes, Victoria Bedos said, "They especially freaked out my partners, especially Michaël Cohen, because he's good friends with my brother! To give us courage, he told me I'd better have a few drinks before shooting. I was happy to do so. It did relax us. But to be honest, those scenes didn't bother me. They even amused me, because I'm totally shameless physically. It may sound strange, but when I'm naked, I feel like nothing can happen to me. Strangely enough, nudity protects me. My modesty lies elsewhere. I can have sex on the first date, but kissing a man is a declaration of love for me. In fact, I'm a great romantic! I experienced the kissing scene with Banjo like a trauma. I found it a thousand times harder to kiss my friend on the mouth than simulating a titanic orgasm with Michael."
