B&b Spoilers: Does Carter Have A Long Lost Child?
Image
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers have everyone asking the same thing: does Carter have a long-lost child?

And if so, is he going to have his own storyline soon where he gets reconnected with his child the same way that Finn recently did with Luna? Maybe. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Fans Are Hoping Carter Walton Will Have A Storyline Soon

A lot of fans would agree that when it comes to Carter Walton, it seems like he’s nothing more than just the “hot piece” here in this fictional town of Los Angeles. That, or he’s breaking relationships and marriages if he’s not trying to take over Forrester Creations.

But, a lot of fans of the show would like to see the character given a storyline with a little more deeper meaning. This, so fans can also have the opportunity to dig...

This Chilling, Underseen Folk Horror Shows the Dark Side of American Myths
Image
Folk horror has been a favorite of horror fans for decades, stretching back to the original Wicker Manand continuing to the revival of the late 2010s (which is still going strong today) kicked off by The Witch. The majority of these films utilize ancient European myths and traditions. However, the rarer American folk horror films tend to either focus on witchcraft like in The Blair Witch Projector the more famous cryptids like Bigfoot. But in reality, that’s just a small portion of the terror a filmmaker can drum up using American folklore, as shown by the underrated Ozark-based film Lost Child. Making the circuit at film festivals in 2017, just as the modern folk horror revival was kicking off, Lost Child tells the story of Fern (Leven Rambin), a young woman who takes in a young boy living by himself in the woods, only to discover that he might be...

Leon Bridges Teases ‘Leon’ Album With Serene, Soulful ‘Peaceful Place’
Image
It’s time to let Leon Bridges reintroduce himself. The soul artist is naming his upcoming fourth studio album simply Leon, and he’s previewing it with the serene-sounding “Peaceful Place.” He shot the video for the song around Mexico City, near where he recorded the record due out Oct. 4. He sings, “I’m in a peaceful place” on the song, with bongos and handclaps supporting him, and, of course, some soulful guitar. In a statement, Bridges said it’s the album he’s been waiting his whole life to record.

‘Last Night on Earth’ VOD Review
Image
Stars: Leven Rambin, Jake McLaughlin, Dee Wallace, Shane West, Sohvi Rodriguez | Written and Directed by Marcos Efron

Opening with a quote from Carl Sagan, “For small creatures such as we, the vastness is made bearable only through love” Last Night on Earth then shows us a brief glimpse of a couple and their young son camping. The man seems troubled, the woman so obviously upset that the boy asks his father about it. “She’s just tired” he replies unconvincingly.

Nearby, Holly and Ryan are staying in a trailer. They seem happy, although there are hints to the contrary scattered through their conversations and actions. A flashback to a party only heightens the feeling.

Writer/director Marcos Efron teases the viewer, making it clear that something is very wrong with the world we are seeing, but not giving any clues as to what that is. And if you actually did...

‘Lost Child’ Review
Image
Stars: Leven Rambin, Jim Parrack, Taylor John Smith, Landon Edwards, Toni Chritton Johnson, Debbie Sutcliffe, Kip Duane Collins, Nicole Parnell, Shane Davis, Donald Fisher | Written by Tim Macy, Ramaa Mosley | Directed by Ramaa Mosley

In Lost Child an Army veteran suffering from Ptsd returns home to see her brother but before she does she discovers a young boy living in the woods. From this she discovers local town folklore about monsters and demons which make her question taking the child in.

The story sounds like a typical low budget horror but thankfully Lost Child never really heads down that route despite constantly teasing to. And I’m still not sure whether I would have preferred it to or not. Instead it takes a much more serious tone with hints of horror but a more real-life horror. The demons are both real and imaginary.

Lost Child does have a slow pace to it.

Full Trailer for Gripping Thriller 'Lost Child' Directed by Ramaa Mosley
"How is it you came to live out here in these woods?" Breaking Glass Pictures has debuted an official trailer for a thriller titled Lost Child, formerly titled Tatterdemalion when it first premiered at a few small film festivals last year. Lost Child, a new film by filmmaker Ramaa Mosley (of The Brass Teapot), is about an army veteran who returns home and finds an abandoned young boy in the woods. As she searches for clues to the boy's identity, she discovers the local folklore about a spirit which comes in the form of a child. Oooh. Leven Rambin stars, with Taylor John Smith, Jim Parrack, Toni Chritton Johnson, and Landon Edwards. This looks like a slow burn horror film masquerading as a dramatic thriller, which is intriguing. Here's the official trailer (+ two posters) for Ramaa Mosley's Lost Child, from YouTube (via THR): Lost Child follows an army veteran,...
