Taylor Brockelsby

Taylor is a Canadian Sound Editor working from his 5.1 edit suite and mix room in Milton Ontario. Taylor attended Sheridan College's Media Arts program and studied under Professor and Sound Editor Stephen Barden. Graduating in 2015 with a rapidly evolving love for sound design, Taylor was introduced to Sound Designer J.R. Fountain who he apprenticed with closely over the next year. He worked on many smaller format productions under the experienced Sound Designer's supervision. With a firm grasp of J.R.'s year of instruction he applied and subsequently joined The Director's Guild of Canada and established his first DGC work opportunities on Feature Films "The Nut Job 2" and Academy Award Nominated Film "The Breadwinner" with Sound Dogs Toronto.

Expanding his skill set Taylor also mixes commercials for television aired on Sportsnet, with clients such as Gatorade, Tim Hortons, Kraft, Sobeys, Volkswagen, Leon's, Infiniti and Visa. Taylor still regularly edits and sound designs for television and film as well as a First Assistant for many features and series'. Taylor is a continually developing young sound editor with an insatiable appetite for new challenges and is a continued asset to new and returning productions.
