Jordan Imiola is an award-winning screenwriter, producer, and showrunner. He is the head writer of the comedy series Romantically Hopeless (2014), Monster Therapy (2017), and Sports TV (2019). Originally from the city of chicken wings, Buffalo, NY, he moved to Los Angeles a week after graduating from Buffalo State University, where he became the first student in the university's history to be nominated for the WGA Michael Collyer Fellowship for his script Still Kickin' (think "Superbad" but with senior citizens).
Jordan has sold multiple screenplays, including "The Devil Wears OshKosh," a mother-and-son comedy about two people who don't want to be mother and son, and "Ray and Sunny," a feel-good comedy about a boy trying to kill himself. His latest romantic comedy, Love at First Spite, is set for release in 2025, and his new Christmas romantic comedy, My Fiancée Still Believes in Santa, is in pre-production and will star Maria Menounos.
He previously worked at 20th Century Fox, Untitled Entertainment, and MarVista Entertainment, gaining hands-on experience inside major Hollywood studios. He has also ghostwritten for several production companies and various clients.
During the pandemic in 2020, Jordan wrote and directed the award-winning feature Zoom comedy Christmas Staycation (2020), now streaming on Tubi and available on DVD everywhere. He also created and hosts Screenwriters Talk Screenwriting (2024), a podcast where he and his friends interview blockbuster screenwriters, showrunners, and TV staff writers.
