The “Bridesmaids” alum reunites with her former “Pitch Perfect” co-star Anna Camp — who plays the bride of the title — for the feature directed by “Con Air” helmer Simon West. Wilson plays a secret agent whose work gets in the way of her personal life during the weekend she’s the maid of honor at a destination wedding. Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, and Justin Hartley also star.

The official synopsis reads: “For badass secret agent Sam (Rebel Wilson), blending in has never been part of the mission — until she’s maid of honor at her best friend’s extravagant destination wedding. Earlier this year, we heard that Tim Blake Nelson and Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring) would be starring in The Leader, a true crime biopic about a story that shocked the world back in 1997, the mass suicide of the members of the Heaven’s Gate cult. Now Deadline reports that Michael C. Hall (Dexter) and Grace Caroline Currey (Shazam! Fury of the Gods) have joined the cast, which also includes Simon Rex (Red Rocket).

Farmiga will be playing cult leader Bonnie Nettles, a.k.a. Ti. Nelson’s character is the cult’s infamous frontman, Marshall Applewhite, a.k.a. Do. According to Deadline, “Hall will play a key devotee: a wealthy addict who attempts to win favor with Applewhite by financially supporting the cult with his trust fund. Currey will play an Oregon-based boutique owner who drops out of society in the late 1970s to join the cult – leaving her family and fiancé behind.

Los Angeles-based Balcony 9 Productions, who recently wrapped The Immaculate Room with Kate Bosworth, Ashley Greene and Emile Hirsch, has hired Max Osswald as head of development and EVP of production, and promoted Chase Hinton to development executive.

The executives will oversee development and production on projects across film, television, documentary, documentary series, and podcasts.

Filming is underway on the feature, which is produced by Canada-based Productivity Media, Germany’s K5 Film and US outfit Balcony 9 Productions. K5 International is handling worldwide rights.

The story, written by Dewil, centres on a seemingly perfect couple who take part in a psychological experiment that will reward them $5m if they can stay in a perfectly white room for 50 days. But the room is much more than it seems.
