Philip Sansom is an award winning British film director.
His short films have earned him international recognition and accolades at festivals around the world. The Black Hole has clocked up over 30 million views on YouTube alone and One Mans Loss was named Short of the Week as well as a Vimeo Staff Pick.
His first TV documentary 'My View' profiled Hall Of Fame drummer Clem Burke, of Blondie and Eurythmics fame. Commissioned for TV by SKY Arts, it was nominated for Best UK Feature at Raindance festival 2019 and Best Director at Copenhagen.
His second feature doc TOPOWA! Never Give Up was made in support of charity Brass for Africa. Featuring Emmy Award Winner virtuoso trumpet player Wynton Marsalis, the film won numerous festival awards most notably Best Music Documentary at Raindance 2020 and Best Documentary Feature at Berlin IFF 2021.
Phil Is in development with a slate of projects, including his first scripted feature film. He continues to shoot commercial film and photography work through his production company PHIX, working with a list of market leading brands such as the Macallan, Bvlgairi and Adidas Y-3.
