Darren Chau
- Brother of actress Danielle Chau.
- Formerly of the Australian based comedy ensemble 'Chop-Socky'. Later one half of the duo 'Darren & Brose'.
- In 2007 appointed as Programming Manager for Foxtel's The Comedy Channel (Australia), in charge of Programming and local Productions.
- In 2008 Chau was appointed Group Programming Manager of both 111 HITS & The Comedy Channel, launching 111 HITS a brand new Foxtel owned and operated entertainment channel.
- In 2009 he was appointed by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences as an official Judge of the International Emmys - Comedy category.
- In 2010 he was appointed as the expert Moderator for the Comedy Nominee Panel Session at the Emmy's World Television Festival.
- In 2011 Chau led both the Comedy Channel and channel 111 HITS to record breaking years in terms of ratings, advertising revenue and awards. His channels won 3 World Promax Awards, including 1 Gold, and 7 Australian Promax Awards including 6 Gold.
- In 2011 he created, wrote and Executive Produced 'Toon Time with Penelope Mitchell and Dickie Knee' which became the highest rating local production in the history of channel 111 HITS.
- In 2011 Chau commissioned, developed and Executive Produced 'Balls of Steel Australia' which became the highest rating programme in the history of the Comedy Channel, and won the Astra Award for Most Outstanding Light Entertainment Programme.
- In 2010, as Group Programming Director, Chau won the Australian Television Captioning Award for the Comedy Channel. His channel also won an Australian Promx Gold.
- In 2016 Darren Chau was appointed Director of Programming, Discovery Networks Australia and New Zealand, overseeing seven channels across both markets including the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery Science and Discovery Turbo.
- In 2012 Chau's channel 111 HITS won an additional 2 Australian Gold Promax Awards.
