Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) is back in action, and it looks like he’s found himself a new romantic connection for Reacher Season 4. New set images have revealed Sydelle Noel in character as Tamara Green — a New York Police Department homicide detective and Reacher’s latest love interest in Prime Video’s hit adaptation of Lee Child’s novels.
Green is based on Theresa Lee, a character from Child’s Gone Tomorrow, which serves as the inspiration for the upcoming season. In the book, Lee works alongside Reacher to investigate a high-stakes case in New York City. For the series, the character has been renamed Tamara Green, and she’s paired with her NYPD partner Docherty while getting drawn into Reacher’s orbit — both professionally and personally.
Instagram user @rikiwichman recently spotted Noel filming in full costume for the new episodes, sporting a red shirt while embodying the character on location.

I'm old enough to remember the 2014 press release wherein Marvel Studios announced all their films for their then-upcoming "Phase Three." The phase, as it was announced at the time, was to consist of "Captain America: Civil War", "Doctor Strange", "Guardians of the Galaxy 2", "Thor: Ragnarok", "Black Panther", "Avengers: Infinity War - Part I" (May of 2018), "Captain Marvel", and "Inhumans". The phase would climax with "Avengers: Infinity War - Part II" in May of 2019.
As Phase Three progressed, Marvel worked out a deal with Sony to make a Spider-Man movie, and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" was shoved into the lineup, released on July 7, 2017. This pushed back the "Thor," "Black Panther," and "Captain Marvel" movies. Phase Three also ended up adding "Ant-Man and the Wasp" and "Spider-Man: Far From Home" to the roster, and changed the title of the climax movie to "Avengers: Endgame." It seems the 2014 press release was only 70% correct.

Be brutally honest if you’re an action TV buff: Doesn’t Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher feel like a beefed-up stars-and-stripes version of James Bond? Granted, one’s a retired US Army vet turned freelancer and the other’s a literal MI6 agent.
But there are way too many binding points against differences. And the one that sticks out over everything else is how both characters effortlessly tune out of any lasting romantic involvement by the time their respective credits roll through. It’s almost as if emotional detachment is part of their job description.

Sure, that might’ve felt right back in the ’90s. But in 2025? A hard no. Today’s world of inclusivity demands a lot more from our men, especially considering how well-written many of these female-led characters are on the other side of the gender column.

Tom Welling’s Older Superman & Smallville’s Justice League Don Armored Upgraded Suits In Epic DC Art
Smallville's Justice League comes back together for a new adventure in exciting DC art that imagines an older version of the team with armored superhero suits. Tom Welling's Clark Kent only became Superman in the final episode of the live-action DC TV show. However, he went on multiple missions with other heroes, such as Alan Ritchson's Aquaman, Justin Hartley's Green Arrow, and Serinda Swan's Zatanna, throughoutSmallville's ten seasons. Some of the show's heroes ended up becoming part of Smallville's prototype version of the Justice League, and they now return in new DC art.
On Instagram, @buffy2ville shared what Tom Welling's older Superman and Smallville's Justice League could look like today with armored, modern suits.

Although the television medium has produced a variety of long-running series, not every show that graces TV screens can have long-term success. Television shows often suffer from weak writing, characterization or circumstances outside their control, reducing many series with major potential to a footnote in the pop culture zeitgeist.
That said, while there are plenty of subpar TV shows that remain exactly that from beginning to end, there are some series that, despite some rough spots, redeem themselves with surprisingly noteworthy endings. Whether their endings are great because they cleanly wrap up important narratives, result in major changes to a beloved character, or even set up the events of other related TV shows & films, these otherwise weak series are worthy of watching just for their finales.

This post contains spoilers for Prime Video's "Reacher."
Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) — the self-proclaimed "direct descendant of a wanderer" — is back. While season 2 of "Reacher" is based on Lee Child's engrossing "Bad Luck and Trouble," season 3 closely follows "Persuader," the author's seventh novel in the "Jack Reacher" series. The latest season's three-episode premiere already proves that adapting "Persuader" was a good call, with the story gliding from one dramatic high to the next while showcasing the best of what Reacher is capable of. What's more, season 3 cements the fact that no one can improvise or brute force their way through a dangerous mission like Jack Reacher. But of course, Reacher's high-stakes missions are incomplete without some dependable allies having his back, and this time, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy) emerges as Reacher's primary partner and confidant.
Duffy makes her presence felt right from the get-go.

It’s hard to imagine that Alan Ritchson so seamlessly fit into the Reacher role — so much so that he pushed aside one of the biggest stars on the planet, Tom Cruise. Before starring in the Prime Video adaptation of Lee Child’s uber-popular book series, the behemoth of a man with the voice of an angel was best known as “Young Scully,” and the cult hit Blue Mountain State.
Now, in his third outing as Jack Reacher, Ritchson remains in the role, relentlessly entertaining. He continues to possess pitch-perfect comic delivery with an edge that creator Nick Santora knows is essential to the series’ success.
It’s like watching Dirty Harry on steroids, combined with the deductive reasoning of Agatha Christie — without the need to fill the air with exhausting explanations. Reacher’s third season is about the baddest man on television with a code since Omar Little.

Reacher season 3 will see Jack Reacher partner up with Sarah Duffy, following the same pattern as with season 2's Dixon and season 1's Roscoe. Widely considered one of the best Jack Reacher books, Reacher season 3 is adapting Lee Child's Persuader and will see the titular hero go undercover within another criminal enterprise. In the process, Reacher season 3 will see Reacher (Alan Ritchson) cross paths with Sarah Duffy (Sonya Cassiday), who oversees the operation. As confirmed by the trailer, their dynamic won't remain platonic.
Fans of the Reacher series will not be surprised by this near-anthology turn of events. Willa Fitzgerald's Reacher exit as Roscoe Conklin brought the show's inaugural run to a natural finish, but the moment also served as a catalyst for an unfortunate trend that has now been confirmed to continue into the coming season. Reacher season 3 is set to be an adaptation of Persuader, which is the seventh in Lee Child's long line of Jack Reacher novels. As was the case with the Reacher season 2 cast, the new season will introduce several new characters while leaving most of the old ones behind. However, it's not this trend that is the problem.
Reacher season 2's explosive ending saw Alan Ritchson's title character resume his life as a lone wanderer and part ways with the 110th Special Investigations Unit. Although Maria Sten's Frances Neagley will appear in Reacher season 3, the show's semi-anthological approach means the upcoming story will be largely unrelated to seasons 1 and 2. That being said,...

Tom Welling's Superman leads an evil version of the Justice League from Smallville through new DC artwork. While Smallville is turning 24 years old later this year, the show's popularity is not slowing down any time soon, as the show enjoys continuing popularity through streaming worldwide and home media releases. With the fandom always growing, the trend of the series being celebrated through fan celebrations years after the Smallville ending continues.
While fans were used to seeing Smallville and its depiction of the Justice League in the traditional heroic way, things could look a lot different if there were evil versions of them. In the latest trailer, Reacher's next mission is alluded to, along with a fresh setting, new faces, and a key character from Reacher's past who has come back to exact revenge. All that and more lies ahead as Reacher's Season 3 trailer is deciphered before the show returns in February.

The explosive new trailer for Season 3 of the Prime Video hit Reacher has just been released, and if you thought you'd seen star Alan Ritchson kick some butt in the first two seasons, you haven't seen anything yet. Ritchson returns for the Season 3 premiere on February 20, which will see the debut of three new episodes, with the remaining five airing weekly thereafter. Newcomers this year include Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, and Johnny Berchtold, among others.
Set to the tune of Kansas' "Carry on My Wayward Son," the explosive new Reacher Season 3 trailer (seen below) shows him infiltrating a criminal enterprise as he seeks to clear up some unfinished business from his past. Along the way, we see him battle a much bigger foe — the 7-foot Olivier Richters, who portrays Paulie. Explosions abound, bones are broken, and Maria Sten's Frances Neagley even makes an appearance to once more act as Reacher's conscience.

Smallville originally planned to include a female-led Justice League episode in the series' final season. One of the writers even breaks down who would have made up the team. Smallville debuted in October 2001 on The WB and reimagined the Superman mythology for the 21st century. The series ran for ten seasons, transitioning from The WB to The CW, and featured many other DC characters, including Green Arrow, Aquaman, Cyborg, and many more. Season 6 introduced the show's version of The Justice League, and it appeared the series planned to feature an all-female version of the super team in its final season.

Smallville almost introduced an entirely different version of the show's Justice League in its tenth and final season. Bryan Q. Miller, who was a writer and story editor on The CW series, recently opened up about the idea behind the scrapped episode.
Miller shared the plans for the scrapped "female Justice League" episode during a recent appearance on the Super House of El podcast (via KryptonSite). The episode would have seen main character Lois Lane (Erica Durance) teaming up with previous guest stars Kara Kent (Laura Vandervoort), Zatanna (Serinda Swan), and Jayna (Allison Scagliotti) of the Wonder Twins to save the day. "Being able to put those characters together that we had played with individually was a lot of fun, and it went away," Miller recalled.

Smallville remains one of the most beloved comic book TV shows ever made and, for many DC fans, Tom Welling is their Man of Steel and Michael Rosenbaum is the Lex Luthor. There were also several strong female leads, a surprise given when the show was produced.
Smallville had a lengthy run, kicking off in 2001 before wrapping up in 2011 following a memorable 10 seasons (which somehow didn't see Clark Kent take flight and suit up until the final episode). Still, fans were left eager for more and eventually got a comic book sequel detailing the hero's early adventures as Superman.
There never were any spin-offs - it's easy to imagine things being different had the show been produced today - but we did come close to seeing an episode revolving around a "female Justice League."

Former U.S. Army military police major Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) will be coming back for another edge-of-your-seat season of Reacher.
After shoving the head of security and all-things-evil, Shane Langston (Robert Patrick), out of a moving aircraft for killing members of his unit in Season 2, Reacher is all set for more vigilante justice.
News of the muscular hero’s return came almost immediately following the finale of Season 2 when Ritchson took to Twitter/X to announce it. One can only imagine who will be on the receiving end of Reacher’s fist, but what we do know is that he makes Reacher look like a Lilliputian.

Given how Jack Reacher bids farewell to Dixon in Reacher season 2's ending moments, the Amazon show's third installment will likely introduce a new romantic interest for the character who will be Roscoe's next replacement. Adapted from Lee Child's Jack Reacher books, Amazon's Reacher closely follows the stories presented in its source material. Owing to this, since Jack Reacher avoids committing to long-term relationships in the books, the show introduces a new love interest for him in every new season.
Since this approach allows the series to be loyal to the original books, it perfectly captures how Lee Child intends to portray Jack Reacher's transient lifestyle. However, it has a minor drawback: beloved characters like Roscoe Conklin are often written out only after one season. Despite the downside, it seems unlikely that Reacher season 3 will mark Roscoe's return. But, as Lee Child's Persuader suggests, season 3 will feature her new replacement.

More than a decade after Smallville came to an end, many DC fans are still imagining what Tom Welling's Superman and his Justice League could look like today. With a Smallville sequel potentially having a chance to come to fruition, this revival wouldn't only open the doors for Welling's Clark Kent to continue, but also for many of the Justice League characters who entered the series during its original run. While time will tell if a continuation is possible, fans are already picturing what Smallville's Justice League might be like in the modern day.

With the Reacher universe set to expand to accommodate a show focusing on Maria Sten's Frances Neagley, the spinoff has the potential to embark on a specific kind of adventure that season 3 of its parent property is far less likely to explore. Sten's Reacher character has been a progressively more important character to the Prime show since she debuted during its first season back in 2022. Based on Lee Child's Jack Reacher books, the adaptation has serialized its installments far more than the original author did with his source material.
With the upcoming run of episodes being based on Child's Persuader, Sten's presence in the Reacher season 3 cast is one of the biggest surprises yet, as Neagley isn't in the novel. Despite being a Lee Child character, Maria Sten's Reacher persona has been given a much bigger role to play than her literary counterpart. Being established as...

Reacher season 2 will be available to purchase on Blu-ray starting Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024. So is it worth getting the second year of the Prime Video hit?
After fizzling a bit as a movie franchise, mostly due to the bad casting of Tom Cruise, Lee Childs’ long-running Jack Reacher novels got a second chance on Prime Video via the TV show version. The title character, played by Alan Ritchson, is a former U.S. Army investigator whose hulking build hides his brilliant deductive mind.
Courtesy of Brooke Palmer/Prime Video Is the Reacher season 2 Blu-ray worth buying?
The Reacher season 2 Blu-ray DVD, available to purchase on Amazon, comes in a two-disc set with 1080p resolution, an aspect ratio of 2.00:1 and DTS-hd Master Audio 5.1. It looks fantastic, popping in detail and a great sound mix to sound wonderful.
Sadly, there are no extra bonus features. No interviews, deleted scenes, or “making of” features which is a big letdown.

Smallville was one of the most successful shows of the 2000s when it first aired in 2001. The CW show had a great plot and likable characters. With devoted comic book fans wanting to see Supermans journey as a young teen, it was bound to be a hit.
Tom Wellings performance as Clark Kent is one of the best among Superman live adaptations, but it wouldnt be much without the women who made the show more exciting and grounded to tell the last son of Krypton's story. From his mother to his best friend and love interests, Clark was surrounded by women who made him stronger and wiser.

Serinda Swan portrays the enchanting magician Zaranna Zatara in Smallville Season 8. Although she only appears in a handful of episodes throughout the show's last three seasons, Zatara left a lasting impression on fans.

Reacher Season 2, based on Bad Luck and Trouble, didn't quite match Season 1's success, but still offers an exciting adventure with Alan Ritchson. Season 2 will be available on September 17 in Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Uhd options, continuing the thrilling adventures of Jack Reacher. Marvel’s ‘Multiverse Saga’ is all set to end with the climactic cinematic event Avengers: Secret Wars. Even though the film is a long way ahead, the MCU has probably begun to set up the ultimate battle between the Avengers and the multiversal threat. Many antagonists such as Kang the Conqueror and Doctor Doom have been rumored to be the villains.
While the film will definitely see many of the superheroes established from the beginning of the MCU make an appearance, one group that will not be seen is the Inhumans. Debunking a rumor that the Inhumans (as seen in the series) would be appearing in the film, Black Bolt actor Anson Mount ridiculed the page that broke the news and denied his involvement.

Roscoe's absence in Reacher season 2 mirrors Cathy's sudden departure from Jack Ryan. Both shows changed love interests in their second seasons, deviating from established relationships, which felt forced and unnecessary. Unlike Cathy's unexplained absence in Jack Ryan, the Reacher season 1 finale neatly writes off Roscoe but leaves room for a potential return in future seasons.
The fact that Willa Fitzgerald didn't return for Reacher season 2 has created an odd parallel with one of the show's biggest competitors. Despite being an instant hit with fans, Fitzgerald's Roscoe Conklin has so far been confined to the events of Reacher season 1. Strangely, another Amazon show has already followed a version of this character arc framework, and it could hold clues as to what lies ahead for the Reacher season 3 cast or beyond.

Strangely, another Amazon show has already followed a version of this character arc framework, and it could hold clues as to what lies ahead for the Reacher season 3 cast or beyond.
Willa Fitzgerald brought Roscoe Conklin to life before being written out of the show at the end of Reacher...

News of the muscular hero's return came almost immediately following the finale of Season 2 when Ritchson took to Twitter/X with the announcement. One can only imagine who will be on the receiving end of Reacher's fist.
The Amazon Prime Video action crime streaming TV series was a big hit after it debuted on February 4, 2022, where Reacher finds himself in the town of Margrave, Georgia.
With the help of two police officers, Roscoe Conklin and Oscar Finlay, Reacher sets out to investigate local corruption.
After wowing audiences with an action-packed first season, it seemed only logical for...

Hall and Cassidy join series stars Alan Ritchson and Maria Sten in the new season which is based on Lee Child’s Persuader, the seventh book of the Jack Reacher series.

Spoilers are ahead for Reacher season 2.
Reacher season 2 features darker fight scenes and brutal kills that are more in line with the plot. The season revolves around Reacher's pursuit of justice and his loyalty to his friends, leading to intense-yet-cathartic moments of violence. Reacher showcases his battlefield prowess, using his environment creatively and resorting to extreme measures to take down his enemies.
While Amazon Prime Video's first season of Reacher boasted memorable action sequences, Reacher season 2 sees Alan Ritchson's titular character pulling off some pretty brutal kills. The darker fight scenes are certainly more in line with the sophomore outing's plot. Based on Lee Child's Bad Luck and Trouble, Jack Reacher's eleventh novel outing, Reacher gets entangled in a much more personal case after Calvin Franz (Luke Bilyk), a former member of Reacher's 110th Special Investigations Unit, is killed. Given Reacher's loyalty to his friends, his drive for...

Mild spoilers ahead for some of the Jack Reacher novels that haven't been adapted by Amazon's series.
Jack Reacher's drifter lifestyle allows for different settings and antagonists in each season. Viewers are wondering if season 2 characters like Roscoe and Finlay will return for season 3. Key characters from Jack Reacher's past will be featured in the central conspiracy of season 2, such as Karla Dixon.
Given that Lee Child has penned over 20 books, there are plenty of missing Jack Reacher characters that Amazon needs to use in Reacher season 3. The titular character's drifter lifestyle fits in with Child's thriller series' need to move from setting to setting and swap in different antagonists. On the other hand, Reacher, who insists he's a "hobo" at heart, moves around too much to form very many meaningful relationships. In season 1, for example, Alan Ritchson's Reacher grows close to Margrave police officer Roscoe Conklin (Willa Fitzgerald). In the books,...

Reacher season 3 will feature the title character's signature traits of kicking butt, being smart, and saving the day. The next season will be based on the book Persuader and will involve Reacher going undercover to rescue an informant from his past. Frances Neagley will return in season 3, diverging from the source material in the Lee Child novels.
Reacher showrunner Nick Santora teases more details about season 3. In its recently concluded second installment, Reacher season 2 focused on Alan Ritchson's titular character teaming up with Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), and David O'Donnell (Shaun Sipos) to uncover why friends from their past are all being murdered. The violent mystery is solved by the Reacher season 2 finale, with the bloodied protagonist getting on the bus to his next destination. However, it won't be long before another conspiracy will have to be thwarted.

[This story contains spoilers from the finale of Reacher‘s second season.]
Viewers of Reacher have now had one week to decompress, perhaps rewind, and think about how archvillain Shane Langston (Robert Patrick) finally got his in the season two finale.
After saving love interest Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan) from dropping mid-air out of a helicopter, Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) — while strapped to a gurney and with a knife stuck in his arm — goes to retrieve Langston and deliver him the same fate that had been handed to many of our series hero’s friends: being thrown out of a flying aircraft.
The scene was rewarding to viewers of Prime Video’s action-packed hit series. And it turns out that scene was also one of the highlights for Reacher showrunner Nick Santora. Santora doesn’t make light of how much he is a fan of both author Lee Child’s books (the source material for the series) and his lead actor, Ritchson.
