There has been a long-standing misconception among those who are, regrettably, not interested in reading up on academia in the porn world (which is pretty much everyone). That porn stars are nothing but dim-witted, big chested girls that are duped into having sex on camera for the benefit of men worldwide – put simply, this isn’t the case. Firstly, you don’t need a big chest to make it in porn – variety is the spice of life, after all – and secondly, porn nowadays is not for the sole enjoyment of men.

With more and more performers deciding to move behind the camera to direct, the female perspective has never been as catered to as it is in the pornography of today. In fact, there are a handful of girls currently active in the industry who write and produce their own films, sometimes choosing to star in them as well.

Adult superstar Joanna Angel has released her new holiday porn parody, The Nightmare Before XXXmas, which is now live exclusively at BurningAngel.com.

Angel, who also directed the film, pays sweet homage to the Tim Burton Christmas classic as Sally, the red-haired rag doll of Halloween Town who falls for Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King (Small Hands). In the scene, Sally yearns for Jack with the help of a special purple toy before Jack appears and sings a special song for her. Not only was The Nightmare Before XXXmas a labor of love on-screen, it was off-screen as well, clocking in as the most advanced and time-intensive post-production work to date for Angel’s BurningAngel studio.

The film also includes new music! Jack’s song, “What’s This?” is a spot-on parody of the original The Nightmare Before Christmas hit and was written by Small Hands, who contributed his clever original music for the movie.

With the number of women accusing James Deen of sexual assault rising to five on Wednesday, adult actress and ex-girlfriend of the porn star Joanna Angel spoke out on his capacity for violence throughout their six-year relationship. In the footage that was filmed at the Exxotica Porn Expo in Florida, adult stars Bonnie Rotten, Elodie Bang Bang and Joanna Angel can be seen pledging a series of x-rated encounters, the Sun reported.

However, the stars vented their anger towards viewers who branded the video tasteless.

YouTube user Tom Denman said that it was disgusting that the porn stars were making fun of a tragedy like that by offering deprived sexual acts under the guise of charity.

The clip was uploaded to vice.com.

So apparently there’s a pornographic parody of the hit AMC show “The Walking Dead” in the works. Although this isn’t altogether surprising in and of itself — everything seems to have a XXX spoof nowadays — the impressive make-up effects I recently came into contact with were definitely unexpected. You can check out these nudity-free images below. The project is being spearheaded by Aramis Sartorio, otherwise known as Tommy Pistol. The filmmaker’s previous effort, “The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol,” was an enjoyable albeit disgusting experience that I happened to enjoy probably more than I should have. And while porn parodies aren’t typically my thing, I’m definitely excited to see Sartorio back behind the camera once again. The guy definitely has an eye for the bizarre. The project stars self-proclaimed “punk-porn princess” Joanna Angel, who also kindly provided the collection of images you see below on her official blog.

Breath of Hate is the latest film from the production companies ArsonCuff Entertainment and Velvet Hammer Films. Their previous work involved zombies taking over Christmas in Silent Night, Zombie Night, which was reviewed (here). Their latest film involves the prostitute know as Love (Lauren Walsh) attempting to get out of the biz'. Yet, Hate (Ezra Buzzington) wants to draw her back in. An early trailer is below and this co-created production also stars Jason Mewes (Clerks), Jack Forcinito, Timothy Muskatell (Someone's Knocking at the Door), Felissa Rose, and Alexi Zibolis (Plaguers). I'm surprised more low budget filmmakers have not figured out the possible benefits of using adult film star Joanna Angel in their films. The Punk Princess of Porn could potentially be one of the best crossover stars for the horror genre. She is the star of the horror/porn films Re-Penetrator and The XXXorcist, and she embodies a lot of the underground culture that is popular with the genre's fans. With a lack of quality modern Scream Queens these days, I can think of no one better to fill the void than Joanna Angel herself.

It's funny how we just written a story a few days back about porn going mainstream now-a-days. We started our coverage with horror porn icon Joanna Angel starring in a Las Vegas ghost movie called Haunting Kira. Then, wil decided to go a bit further with it and scrounged up the top ten horror movies that starred porn actresses and actors. We have come full circle as another mainstream horror movie will star, yet again, Joanna Angel. The flick is called Breath of Hate. A story about a erotic escort named Love played by Lauren Walsh. She will co-star with Clerks's Jason Mewes and they will face a trio of mental escapes who look to change the world, one victim at a time. Angel has a small part as a stripper but, still, she is making her way slowly in the legit film industry - if you can call it legit.

Porn has become so mainstream I am surprised that more horror directors are not casting porn stars in their films these days. You know they will get naked, they are probably cheap, and if your film is going to suffer from bad acting, it might as well be by a hot porn chick. So I applaud the makers of Haunting Kira for getting my attention by casting Joanna Angel in their film, because they sure weren't getting it with her co-stars Monique Dupree and Rachel Grubb. Angel has starred in the porn parodies Porny Monster, Repenetrator The XXXorcist plus many other "adult titles." Ari Lehman, Kathleen Kinmont and Donna Hamblin round out the rest of the cast.

Celebrity photographer Michael Grecco wanted to know more about the porn industry, but didn’t want to actually get into it, so he decided to make a documentary on the field’s biggest stars by following them to their version of the Oscars, the Avn Awards held annually in (of course) Las Vegas. Fango got the first word from director/cinematographer Adam Ahlbrandt and producer/FX creator Doug Sakmann about their upcoming feature Children Of Torture. The movie is currently in preproduction, and seeking additional financing for a start date this fall.

As if the month of October weren't crowded enough what with all the various cons, film fests, parties, and of course our high holy day, Halloween, itself, word recently came down about an upcoming week-long run of horror and punk films called "8 Films To Kill For: Halo-ween Fest." Sponsored by Halo-8 Entertainment, the fest runs from Thursday, October 23rd, through Wednesday, October 29th, at The Engine Theater in Hollywood.

The program consists of seven films playing every day of the event with an eighth, Halo-8's controversial and critically acclaimed documentary Your Mommy Kills Animals, being distributed on DVD to all attendees as a Halloween treat - free with admission.

Buckcherry have released an R-rated version of a music video for their new "Too Drunk" single. The track is taken from their upcoming "Black Butterfly" album which will reportedly hit the stores on September 16.
