Rob Mazurek is an interdisciplinary artist/abstractivist, with a focus on electro-acoustic composition, improvisation, performance, painting, sculpture, video, film, and installation, who spent much of his creative life in Chicago, and then Brazil. He now lives and works in Marfa Texas where his Marfa Experimental Studio is in constant motion.
Director of the critically acclaimed Exploding Star Orchestra, Chicago Underground and São Paulo Underground, Mazurek's expansive vision and vast catalog, of over 500 compositions and 80 recordings, have kept him reshaping modern music over the last three decades.
