When YouTube becomes a portal to the uncanny from 21 July, The Supernatural UK will strip away artifice and invite viewers on an unscripted tour of Britain’s most haunted sites. Filmmakers John Shackleton and Andy Bourne deploy a fly-on-the-wall approach to paranormal investigation in this ten-episode series, which drops weekly at 7pm and pits seasoned investigators against poltergeists, malevolent dolls and shape-shifting goblins.
Across three themed strands – Attractions, Somerset and Warwick Castle – The Supernatural UK embeds Shackleton with teams of experts who bring their own tools and philosophies to each location. The first Attractions triptych visits Nottingham’s Museum of Curiosities, Monmouth’s Savoy Theatre and Bath’s House of Frankenstein. In the Museum of Curiosities episode, Diane Chambers and Justin Cowell track mysterious doll movements and cellar whispers.
