With Earth Day coming up in a few days, Brian Eno has called on Mother Nature to give David Bowie’s 1995 deep cut “Get Real” a unique twist using environmental sounds. The remix has been released as part of a global music initiative called Sounds Right, which has made Nature an official artist on streaming platforms to raise money for earth conservation.
Thanks to Sounds Right, a share of royalties from any song that credits Nature as an artist will go to EarthPercent, a charity founded by Eno. The organization will then distribute that money to conservation and restoration projects in the world’s “most precious and precarious ecosystems” under the guidance of the Sounds Right Expert Advisory Panel, a group of world-leading biologists, environmental activists, Indigenous People’s representatives, and experts in conservation funding.

Mick Jenkins has shared “Guapanese,” the latest preview of his upcoming album, The Patience. Watch the visualizer for it below.
Over a piano-based instrumental co-produced by Stoic and Kulture, Jenkins challenges money-obsessed culture and questions the priorities of others. “All these n***** ever really talk about is money,” he spits. “I think all these n***** got to talk about is money/ His man’s locked up, he can’t bond him out, it’s funny.”
Along with “Guapanese,” Jenkins has shared the tracklist for The Patience, which features Benny the Butcher (“Sitting Ducks”), Freddie Gibbs (“Show & Tell”), Vic Mensa (“Farm to table”), and Jid (lead single “Smoke Break-Dance”). See it below.
In a statement, Jenkins explained that he moved away from his typical concept-driven approach while recording the album. “A lot of these new songs were made when I stopped focusing on a concept and just wrote spontaneously to the beat,...

Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins has announced his new album, The Patience, out August 18th on Rbc Records/BMG. He’s also shared a taste of the record with his new single “Smoke Break-Dance” featuring Jid. Listen to it below.
As Jenkins explained in a press release, the LP is an expression of his frustration with the process of progression. “As best I can be, I am a person who does everything within his power to change his situation,” he said. “I think with some level of consistency, that behavior inevitably leads you to a point where you have to wait.”
He continued, “I see this as a period of time in one’s journey, no matter the length, where the unseen things must take place; The muscles must tear and repair, the understanding of a concept coming to you in a moment completely devoid of artistic intention. It’s through...
