Had played the title role of "The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" for ABC Radio (1946-1947). Had played Simon Templar on "The Saint" for NBC Radio (1951).

His hobbies were boat and airplane design, swimming, skiing and tennis.

He worked with his younger brother George Sanders and his ex-sister-in-law Zsa Zsa Gabor in Amores de un impostor (1956).

He played the brother of his real life younger brother George Sanders in both El hermano del halcón (1942) and Amores de un impostor (1956).

Invented a pipe cleaner and co-invented the "arcometer" for mechanical drawing with brother George. Did not apply for United States patents.

When an American-born comic actor first came to Hollywood in the early 1960s, he was forced to change his name because, although he was born as Tom Conway, he could not use his own name due to the already-established character actor Tom Conway. So he changed his name and became known as Tim Conway.

Although otherwise unconnected, he played the same character Dr. Louis Judd in both horror films La mujer pantera (1942) and La séptima víctima (1943).

He was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1617 Vine Street in Hollywood, California on February 8, 1960.

Had one younger sister: Margaret Sanders (born 1912).

Both he and his younger brother George Sanders worked with Thomas Heathcote: Conway in Blood Orange (1953) and The Last Man to Hang (1956) and Sanders in El pueblo de los malditos (1960).
