Everything We Know About ‘Gen V’ Season 2 So Far
Image
Gen V, the first spinoff of Eric Kripke’s The Boys series at Prime Video, will soon return for another season.

Season 1 of the college-set installment arrived almost two years before Season 2 will hit the small screen. With one more season of The Boys still set to arrive as well, some crossover between the two is expected.

“The shows talk to each other. So Season 4 of The Boys sets up Season 2 of Gen V. So now, Homelander has taken over America,” showrunner Michele Fazekas teased to the crowd at the Gen V panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. “Now, we get to see what that looks like — what that looks like for the country, what that looks like at the school, and then what the resistance is going to start looking like.”

'Gen V' Star Teases How 'The Boys' Spin-Off Honors Chance Perdormo
Image
Gen V Season 2 wrapped production last month, and according to actor Sean Patrick Thomas, the entire season is one massive tribute to the late Chance Perdomo. Patrick Thomas plays the superhero Polarity in the incredibly popular The Boys spin-off series. Polarity worked high up at Vought, and wanted his son, Andre (Perdormo), to take over the mantel. Chance Perdomo died in 2023 following a motorcycle accident weeks before principal photography on Season 2 was scheduled to begin. The producers made the right decision not to recast the role, and re-wrote the season around Perdomo's death to honor the actor.

Speaking to TV Line, Patrick Thomas explained that Gen V Season 2 will honor Perdomo. The actor didn't want to reveal any major spoilers, but he first confirmed that he was returning as Polarity in the second season. "I don’t want to give too much away, but Polarity will be in Season 2," he began.

Addams Family Reunion: the sequel that time forgot
Simon Brew Nov 15, 2017

After Addams Family Values struggled at the box office, another film still followed a few years later. But Addams Family 3 this was not...

Were the world right, then in 1993, Addams Family Values would have got both the rich acclaim and enormous box office it merited. A deliciously playful sequel, it’s 94 minutes of tightly put together comedy, with a bunch of performers that come close to defining ‘perfectly cast’. Christina Ricci, clinging to a fence as she’s threatened with the Harmony Hut, remains a comedy highlight of 1990s cinema.

But the film didn’t really hit. As much as it was liked, its box office was less than half of the original. It was released the week before Mrs Doubtfire in the Us, and it was the latter that become the widely seen family comedy of Christmas 1993. Addams Family Values would do okay at best, but...

Music: Music Review: About Group: Start And Complete
What’s made Hot Chip one of the most intriguing groups of the past decade is that, above its elastic foundation of beats, its music oozes casually brilliant songcraft and nervy twinges of experimentalism. These qualities were underlined on Rubbed Out, the 2008 solo debut by Hot Chip cofounder Alexis Taylor. Start And Complete is the new full-length by Taylor’s supergroup, About Group, but in many ways, it’s Rubbed Out II. Despite the presence of high-profile collaborators Charles Hayward of This Heat, John Coxon of Spiritualized, and British avant-jazz vet Pat Thomas, Start And Complete is Taylor’s ...

Sal Mineo and Gay Hollywood
My friend Matthew, who wrote the book Boy Culture (which his blog is named after), recently interviewed the late Sal Mineo's boyfriend Courtney Burr, who is an acting teacher, in connection with a newish book on one of the most important Young Hollywood stars of the 1950s and 60s. The book in question was written by Michael Gregg Michaud. Burr had previously declined requests to help with other Mineo related books because he felt they were just after the sensationalistic aspects of the actor's legend (his sex life or his murder in the 70s -- famously none of the legendary trio from Rebel Without a Cause lived long enough to die of natural causes).

It's a lengthy interview for those of you who are interested in Sal Mineo or the difficulties for "exotic" actors or queer actors in showbiz history. The bit where Burr talks about Sal's career choices...

James Franco to Direct Sal Mineo Biopic
Busy Hollywood! The latest news goes like this: James Franco has optioned the film rights to Sal Mineo: A Biography, written by Michael Gregg Michaud.

Franco intends to write and direct the film, but at this time has no plans to star, although, according to some reports, Franco could change his mind later on.

Will that happen? Lets wait and see, in the meanwhile here are more details.

“One of the hottest stars of the 1950s, Mineo grew up as the son of Sicilian immigrants in a humble Bronx flat. But by age eleven, he appeared on Broadway in Tennessee Williams’s The Rose Tattoo, and then as Prince Chulalongkorn in the original Broadway production of The King and I starring Yul Brynner and Gertrude Lawrence.

This sultry-eyed, dark-haired male ingénue of sorts appeared on the cover of every major magazine, thousands of star-struck fans attended his premieres, and millions bought his records,...

James Franco Sets His Sights On Sal Mineo
James Franco entered our pop culture landscape with his fine Golden Globe-winning performance as James Dean in a 2001 TV movie. Now, the actor wants to make a movie about Dean's "Rebel Without a Cause" co-star, Sal Mineo according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Franco has optioned film rights to a just-released biography of Mineo as a potential writing-directing vehicle. No word yet on whether he's going to star, and honestly, he should! He's perfect for the part!

Mineo became the youngest performer nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar for "Rebel." His promising life was cut short when he was murdered by a pizza deliveryman at age 37.

Mineo also had a conflicted sex life -- proposing marriage to Jill Haworth and keeping a secret affair with his male lover Courtney Burr. Artist and photographer Michael Gregg Michaud documented this in the book, "Sal Mineo: A Biography."

This is an intriguing project,...

James Franco Directing a Bio-pic on Sal Mineo
According to THR James Franco has optioned the film rights to Sal Mineo: A Biography, written by Michael Gregg Michaud and intends to write and direct the film, but not star. This is the latest in a series of options by Franco following his recent acquisitions of The Adderall Diaries and Holy Land: A Suburban Memoir.

Actor Sal Mineo was twice nominated for an Academy Award, and enjoyed success as a stage director and recording artist, but most people remember him chiefly for playing troubled, violence-prone youths. His most memorable role was Plato, James Dean’s damaged, love-starved best friend, in the teen angst classic Rebel Without a Cause (1955). His performance resulted in an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor, and his popularity quickly developed.

His acting ability and exotic good looks earned him roles as a Native American boy in Tonka, and as a Jewish emigrant in Otto Preminger’s Exodus,...

According to THR, Franco intends to write and direct the film, but at this time has no plans to star. This is the latest in a series of options by Franco: The Filmmaker, following his recent acquisitions of The Adderall Diaries and Holy Land: A Suburban Memoir.

At age 16, Mineo was the youngest actor to earn a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination, for 1955’s Rebel Without a Cause. He lived a life “full of sports cars, motor boats, famous friends, and some of the most beautiful young actresses in Hollywood,” before he was stabbed to death in 1976, at 37 years old.
