Stepmother of Rain Pryor.

On her mother's side, she is a direct descendant of the abolitionist John Brown.
Wrote a tell-all memoir about her life in Hollywood and marriage to Richard Pryor titled Tarnished Angel, published in 1991.
Her father, Harry Lee, was a noted civil rights attorney and judge. Her grandfather, Byron Brewster, was a judge on New York Supreme Court.
