Weaving the Past: Journey of Discovery
American filmmaker Walter Dominguez embarks on a life-changing quest to uncover mysteries in the life of his saintly Mexican-born grandfather, Reverend Emilio Hernandez, and to fulfill his grandfatherÂ’s dying wish to locate his long lost family of origin. Traveling through California, Texas and Mexico in search of clues, his quest reveals that Emilio was associated with significant persons in the planning of the Mexican Revolution, and that Emilio himself was a participant in many extraordinary actions to bring social and economic justice to the people of Mexico. As Walter's perception of his grandfather evolves from saintly pastor to fierce and just social warrior, his determination to complete his quest grows. He must find his grandfather's ancestral family, and bring him home.
