The best thing with the movie is actress María Valverde who really good playing the wife of Moses. Joel Edgerton as Ramses are good. Christian Bale isn't bad, but does he look jewish, no. Sigourney Weaver is ok, but doesn't look egyptian even with vig. Scenes looks like a cosplay, not convincing. Some bad cgi, especially the water in the end. Sound design/mix wasn't good. But music is good. Some strange things in the story. Moses eg doesn't have his staff but instead an egyptian sword, and God is depicted with a child. There is a good ending. But the movie continues with two more scenes that didn't give me much. Not as bad as the Robin Hood movie, but a bad Ridley Scott movie.

The trailer for this movie was good. I like movies about missing persons, and this movie are said to have twists. And I was really interested in seeing this one.

But the movie isn't much like the trailer.

Already in the beginning of the movie you are told what did happen. And that's it. We can follow the story but nothing interesting do happen.

Of course you can sit there and think how stupid and blind some persons are. But that is about it.

With the material they did have they could have made something much more interesting with this. Not telling us the truth in the beginning, telling about the disappearance first, then the phone call, then the family, then a twist. Now there is no twist coming.

So much good things. The actors, the cinematography, the dresses etc. What's here is good and the movie has some great moments. But the movie has some big faults. The history is not told in chronological order. The movie is too short and many things are forst. And some characters like Pol are not presented in a good way. This way you will not learn to know even Jane Eyre as much as you need to get the right feelings for her situation. This is a pity because this movie could have been great. Now it is only good. With another cut it could have been better. The book is great. And this movie could have been too.
