Is this the best movie I've ever seen? Obviously not but it's fun. And at least it's not another remake! I don't get why some people are super low balling the rating for this. It's a solid 5/6, not a 2, or the 8s I've seen, but hopefully that counteracts the 2s. It's a fun dark comedy. Definitely silly at times but go with it and allow it to be silly. I thought the cast was good. Though it seems Samara is getting a bit type casted in these roles. Ray Nicholson looks just like his father but hes pretty good at playing crazy. This movie made me laugh and it was a good choice for a rainy weekend afternoon. Not everything has to be a masterpiece, this is original and paced well.
In my opinion JLo has only made three really good movies; Selena, The Cell, and Enough...
I'm not a JLO fan by any means but I have watched this movie more times than I can count. It wasn't going to win any Oscar's but it's entertaining from start to finish. You become attached to the main characters early on and ride the wave of suspense and action. Rooting for her but not knowing how can she possibly survive her abuser. It's when she decides she's had Enough of being a victim and takes control back.
The movie follows a definite formula but it's a tried and true formula for an entertaining experience. You're never bored and always waiting for what's coming next and how's this going to end. JLo does a great job at the role, she teeters on the precipice of cheesy a few times but stays on track for a solid performance. Watch it and judge for yourself.

I watched this show religiously every week, it was always the last show on Snick and my favorite on Nickelodeon. So many great memories of childhood Saturday night sleepovers and watching this.
It recently popped in my head for some reason and I looked it up on IMDB to see if it was available to stream. I was so excited to find it playing on Prime for free. The entire series! So I've been watching a couple episodes here and there. Just as good as I remember and fun to see what actor I recognize who went on to be stars. Like Ryan Gosling for example. A fun nostalgic moment. And just as good as I remembered. Happy to see it has such a high rating. I'll definitely be sharing this with my goddaughters next time they're visiting.
