Biography, what Ron Howard did best, Russell Crowe at the peak of his popularity, a time period of almost 100 years ago, and boxing. There are not many good films about this sport, but there are none with any similar advantages described above.
A proper balance between the fights themselves and the hero's life outside the ring. It's a difficult time for an entire country, and even more so for an athlete with an injury who has to take on any job and almost beg to feed his family. Well, after that, how can you not empathize during the next fight?
Plus, the fights themselves are perfectly shot and the music is perfectly written, which only heats up the situation.
Fans of sports dramas - do not pass by! A niche and rather rare subgenre after all.

It's a bit difficult to criticize Tarantino's films. Most of the time, that's for sure.
It was great watching a movie. After reading about the events described in the film, the ending left a great aftertaste. It was like watching a fairy tale.
Well, the very essence of the ending is when, after 2.5 hours of driving around the city, unhurried conversations and enough routine work of the filmmakers, you get this... This increases the effect many times over.
And there is no clear storyline. The characters are busy with their own affairs and not necessarily everyone will cross paths with everyone. It's like looking behind a screen and observing the life of ordinary people, which is not the most ordinary.
What kind of music is there? Just great. Even though I didn't live in the 60s, but after such a movie, I want to be there and drive through the same streets and enjoy the moment.

Have you gotten used to the idea that the Walking Dead has had 15 seasons and sequels? So there's no question that there are zombies on steroids who look like bodybuilders. I remind you that they have been dead for 28 years.
Anyway, the movie turned out to be good.
It took a long time to wait for both the continuation of the film series and Boyle's work in the big cinema. It's time for the poor to know the honor of the series.
Let's start with the pros. The cast, the final scene, which turns out to be related to the opening one, and then there's a familiar actor there. Also, the bold plus of the painting is the shooting. Who would have thought that it would be possible to shoot so relatively cheaply and so high-quality on an iPhone(s). Every arrow hit with this let's call it semicircular shooting is simply amazing. Well, the tower of skulls is also not bad, and the connection with the heroes of this tower is also even a little sad.
And one of the disadvantages is the lack of a plot. The characters go there first, then they go here, and finally they leave. I understand that this is the beginning of a trilogy, but when the hero has 1 goal for the whole movie, and the exposure is minimal, well, it's a little weird. The original shot, which is a shame not 28 years ago, had a much more interesting and intense script.
Well, Danny Boyle's style has disappeared due to the lack of music, dynamic editing and vivid pictures, so from a technical point of view, only the cameramen and those who thought of this type of shooting are well done.
I want to believe that the film will pay off and the 3rd part will be shot, because you can't count on the 2nd part. We all know who took it off.
