This is your run of the mill action thriller with a basic plot, characters that are interesting enough but not any real depth, lot of pew pew, a few car scenes, the usual stuff. Pacing is pretty good though it seems to drag on a bit here and there. But all in all the result is fairly well done for this genre so it works.
By now, I think they've done everything they can with this franchise over the last 30 years and I really hope they don't even try another one, or at least not with the same cast and crew because The Final Reckoning was the perfect closing chapter. In all honesty, I found the pacing a bit uneven is some parts and closing all the threads to make this a good conclusion felt a bit forced at times. That is why I believe the previous movie still remains by far the absolute best of them all. Hats off to Tom Cruise and team to continuously deliver and end with a bang!
Overall, I really enjoyed it and recommend it. I found it a lot better than Glass Onion. And the actual plot and murder mystery was also better than the original Knives Out in my opinion. Unfortunately I found the characters to be extremely bland and poorly written, so it was a bit difficult to care much for what would happen to any of them, otherwise this would get an additional star from me. Still very worth the watch though.
