If you're new to cheeseball sexploitation films, this is a great jumping off point. Cheesy, ridiculous, and overall just a fun 60 minutes. I'm glad this was restored.

Writing is the weakest I've seen. Whereas Roseanne, in the past, blossomed with being funny yet still grounded in realism, this feels like any sitcom you flip through today. It's a combination between Big Bang misogynistic humor and Broke Girls attempt at showing the 'liberal' point of view. Roseanne as always had complete control over the writing -- you definitely can see it show through with this first episode. Her staunch need to display the opposite side as submissive and over the top while conservatives are the opposite (minus the occasional rip on conservatives.) Let's not forget the drastic change in Dan and how much he mocks the grandson. You can just feel John Goodman's uncomfortableness as he reads the dialogue that are so blantatly transphobic and misunderstanding of culture today. Back in the 80's and 90's Roseanne was ahead of the time -- now she is more behind the times than ever. Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert are the only two actresses that keep the shows old energy alive that even give this show the 4/10 stars I managed to give. As a devote fan of the previous show it is sad to see the writing drop and a show that previously celebrated alternative lifestyles now trashing on them.
