If you can't sleep this film will knock you out. The characters are all half asleep. Even when one of them is committing murder, he looks like he is asleep. When the girl is making her escape, she is either crawling or walking at a half mile per hour. The girl is pretty though. Oh yeah, she can kill with her mind.

The conflict between religion and science, the references to global warming, and the terrorist attack on the Star Bridge all point to this show as a connection to our own time. The emphasis on the primacy of science is perhaps the main theme. The writers are attacking the Synnaxian Church as the enemies of science. The transformation of Hari Seldon's theory of psychohistory from a science into a faith-based dogma raises questions about the separation between science and religion. In the first episodes, Gaal's questioning of Seldon's prediction as not a certainty creates the main conflict for those who believe in psychohistory as a science.
