This show has redone footage and witnesses of the war from both sides, but with so much potential, netflix was able to destroy the show by making old historical inaccuracies.
Throughout at least 3 episodes, which is where i stopped, the narrator continuously repeated myths from the cold war and he explained events terribly without any details. Important events of the war were skipped, important numbers were dropped. I understand there are complexities to the war and the series is short, but you simply cant talk about the north african campaign by saying "hitler wanted world domination". And of course there were the times when no explanation was given at all. "stalin hasnt been seen for months, and then a meeting was called". Where was stalin ? Why was gone ? If the narrator mentioned it the viewer would believe it must be important. But nothing.
And the editing, my god, almost none of them had a title or date, there was no clear timeline for anything and of course, including incorrect images to the narrative (which was anyway at times fiction).
So much potential gone to waste, my suggestion, watch for the fine pictures on mute.
