This film is not intending to be great, everyone involved in the film knows what they're doing and hits the genre spot on.
They are not that many horror comedies out there and to be honest this one stands out as one of the best I've seen.
The plot is very simple and you can divide the movie into two halves for me the latter half was much more entertaining than the first.
For the first half of the movie we established certain characters, and I must stress that a lot of these characters have, well, character. In other words they're not just bland or generic, they actually have a personality, quirks, specific trades that make them different interestingly most of them are insufferable and that is a great thing because the second half of the movie the main character, the famous Mildred, spends every single second killing every single one of them in very creative and unique ways.
If you keep in mind that this movie is made for fun and doesn't take itself seriously, everything else will fall into place.
The kills in concept are fantastic, and though the special effects and make up sometimes is not super realistic, the ideas and the execution fit the genre very well and I must say I had fun watching Mildred dispatch every single horrible person that deserved their fate.
I am not the biggest fan of the music and the times it felt a little bit repetitive but they understand what a kill theme is and I understand why that particular theme was overused because, the main character kills, and she does so A LOT.
If you're looking for a serious or gory horror slasher then this is not the movie for you, but if you're looking for a specific type of comedy horror with levity and sincere fun then I feel you will enjoy this one.
This movie was probably not for me, but even then I found moments of enjoyment and you can see the people involved in making the movie had a lot of fun too.

Checked this on Tubi, been wanting to watch this for a while as I've followed the production for a while. I am not going to talk about the plot, you can find plenty about that on here.
This is almost a 'chamber piece', thriller, with a few solid hooks. For me, the core of this film is the devil and we get a memorable version, both in writing and performance.
The other characters, most of which are irredeemable for a variety of reasons, are mostly a 'meal' for the plot, and that is totally fine because in the first quarter of the film I became heavily invested in one character (the devil) and see how he is going to work the situation for the rest of the film.
Watch it with the understanding that, with the resources this was made, the film is packed with homages, clichés, cheesy dialogue, and it all mixes well...like a salad with ingredients that balance themselves out.
Visually this film makes a number of blunders (once you see that solid green wall you will know what I mean) that are redeemed by dialogue that made me chuckle and details that if you keep track of pay off here and there.
In a sea of bland thrillers and horror films (of which we have plenty) Spin The Wheel stands out for me, not only for the entertainment value, but for a clever portrayal of classic evil. This plot could have been set in the 1800s in a frontier saloon, or in the 2800s in a derelict space station, and still would have worked, as the character archetypes are based on very basic and relatable human conditions.

With a simple plot and likeable characters, humour that mostly hits on the right notes, unobtrusive cinematography and a ton of style, Northwood Pie is a great time especially if you want to relax and have a great time watching a feel good movie. Memorable scenes, and quotable dialogue, this film is well thought and the acting is solid!
Well done :)
