This has to be the worst episode of BR, surely the last three can't be any worse? The only remarkable thing is that they managed to fit almost all of the worst attributes of series 2 in to one episode.
Terrible on-board security.....the trouble-making element of the show causes life threatening problems for the crew on multiple occasions yet are never stopped from roaming around the ship doing what ever they like. Are there ANY security precautions on Searcher? New Chicago base was bad enough in this regard but Searcher takes it to a new low.
Whereas we got away with one almost-always terrible "joke" at the end of shows, this episode is full of the most painfully unfunny "funny" situations from start to end. "Puns in Spaaaaace!"
Deus Ex Machina at every point! Almost every episode of BR season 2 has at least one, but this one relies of it in almost every scene! Hey let's just make the Dwarves fix everything or do anything they want just by thinking! Great writing
Were they channeling The Benny Hill Show in the extremely awkward scenes involving Wilma and the dwarves? So weird and out of place in BR
Had the writers just given up by this point and made the worst episode possible (of BR and of any TV show ever) on purpose, just for a laugh, or due to some kind of grievance with the management? Or did they elect a couple of nursery school kids to draw the storyboard for some reason?
Questions I may never know the answers to, but this episode certainly helps answer one question.......the one about why the show was axed.

Pointless. The twist was obvious even in the original episode, so a carbon copy remake is double pointless.
I was hoping that they were going to double bluff us and come up with a new twist but they didn't. Now that would have been impressive and given a point to remaking it.
And the "twist" was obvious to me even the fist time I saw the OG episode. Even in the sixties I think 99% of viewers must have guessed it seeing as they didn't show a single shot of a face until the very end in that one too. So it's barely a twist in the first place.
Of all the episodes to remake, this was the most dumb and lazy decision.
