I was very excited to see this series because I have a lot of affiliation with the city of York. Time I was really looking forward to seeing some of the parts of the city that I've not seen for a while such as monkbar etc. All those things were present such as the bridges the York minister it was great

This is an absolutely terrible TV series. Every single cliche around autism was on display such as the person did not want to be touched, puzzle solving genius etc

Also why was she diagnosed as schizophrenia as a child ..... It was so blatantly horrendously obvious it was ASC from the symptoms.... The women is what 27? So it was a flashback from what 2007? Any doctor then would know

The acting is terrible.... Not many of them have York accents

The plot is stupid

Alright, let's talk about Yellowstone-the show that everybody and their grandma seems to be obsessed with. I honestly don't get the hype. It's like the whole world's in on a secret, but I'm just sitting here feeling like I missed the memo. I gave it a fair shot, too. I sat through multiple episodes, fully expecting to be sucked into this epic ranching saga, but honestly? I couldn't even finish the first season. And here's why.

First off, let's talk about the writing. Is it just me, or does every line sound like they're trying way too hard to sound tough? It's like everyone in this show thinks they're the baddest person alive. Every character, from Kevin Costner's John Dutton to the side characters, seems to be constantly trying to one-up each other with these ridiculous, over-the-top threats. Every conversation feels like a standoff in a bad western movie. And sure, I get that they're supposed to be cowboys, but come on-just because you throw around some curse words doesn't make you gritty. It just makes the dialogue feel like it's from a 13-year-old's attempt at writing a revenge fantasy.

And speaking of John Dutton, let's address the man of the hour. Kevin Costner is fine, I guess? But honestly, he just seems so tired. You can see it in his face. Maybe it's because I'm used to seeing him in Dances With Wolves or The Untouchables, but in Yellowstone, he just looks like he's mailing it in. He's supposed to be this hard-as-nails ranch owner, but instead, he comes off as grumpy, melodramatic, and occasionally cartoonish. The man's constantly brooding or shouting at someone, but it's just not as compelling as the show thinks it is.

Then there's the pacing. Good Lord, the pacing. There are entire episodes where nothing really happens, except for people glaring at each other or riding horses around in the wilderness. They could've easily trimmed the fat and still had a solid show. Every plot twist or moment of "action" feels like it's trying to build up to something big, but when it happens, it's so underwhelming that you wonder why they even bothered. The show just drags on and on, making you question whether anything will ever actually happen. I almost fell asleep a few times.

Let's not forget about the whole "family drama" aspect. Apparently, the Duttons are supposed to be this broken family who's constantly at each other's throats, but I just don't care. The kids are annoying as hell, especially Beth. She's this fiery, take-no-prisoners type, but instead of being cool, she's just grating. Every scene with her feels like she's either screaming at someone or scheming something ridiculous. I get it; she's complicated, but she's also exhausting. And then there's the whole "will they, won't they" subplot with her and Rip, which is so forced it's uncomfortable to watch. Honestly, it's just a mess.

The show's portrayal of the West feels super dated. The whole "rich ranchers vs. Corrupt developers" thing is a tired trope that's been done to death. It's 2024, guys-let's come up with something new. Also, there's so much focus on the "wild west" vibe that it feels like they're constantly reminding you that they're tough because they ride horses and shoot guns. It's like they want you to forget that we're in a world with cell phones, technology, and modern-day issues. It's just a little too nostalgic for my taste.

Look, I get it. Yellowstone has a huge fanbase, and maybe I'm just missing something. But for me, it's like a long, drawn-out soap opera with cowboys and a lot of posturing. If you're into that kind of thing, great, more power to you. But as for me? I'm out.

I wish I had followed my gut a d left this alone.

Great set up and suspenseful 30 minutes with good acting by Hugh Grant but then it goes no where... Nothing really happened except some rubbish slasher type movie stuff that explains nowt

There were so many loose ends, so much pointless taking constantly with no real answer

No twist, no real character development, no real action or horror, no real ending and just a feeling of being ripped off

I sent to see this tonight instead of Smile 2 and am really annoyed....... I could have seen something when a plot, with real ideas and yes am ending and a conclusion..... This is a genuine waste of time... Avoid at all costs.
