I should point out that I'm a Brit. In the last week, we've had children stabbed, a soldier stabbed and riots on the street. This film alludes to the Krays, " no trouble on the streets then" myth. I thought it was a great film with a rubbish title. Ian Ogilvy looked great, far better than in his heyday.

It does speak to the disillusionment of people today, kids are out of control, ordinary people are scared to go out at night in the cities, our police are rubbish and there's a feeling that old fashioned "justice" is needed. Very relevant to us in the UK. Probably not such a big deal in a country where gun crime has been rife for years. Maybe a Brit will appreciate it more than an American, we're not used to mindless violence...getting there though.

This is set in an Orwellian early twentieth century Soviet Russia. That fact gave this run of the mill police investigation some real depth. Not really much of a story, but it played out very well. Great cast, great acting.
