Season 1 was fresh, something that everyone enjoyed. As the seasons went on it's become more of a drama and season 4 is insufferable, feels like Ekta Kapoor has made this season. The enmity with Banrakas drags on and on and on, he seems to have all the answers and the protagonists keep getting slapped in the face again and again, shoddy writing. I won't be watching the next season, if there is one (god I hope there isn't). Subplots go nowhere, Abhishek is the same angry and impatient guy as he was in season 1, no character development. The whole thing with Vidhayak has gotten ridiculous. No doubt there are moments that remind you of season 1 but that's it, just moments.

You don't expect to be disappointed with a movie with a 9.0 IMDb rating but this was an exception. Lot of people out there calling this movie "super" or "hit" and it baffles me.

It's a very long movie and for 1.5hrs it goes absolutely nowhere. When the creature finally appears, it gets killed in 5 mins!!!

They've tried to mix in so many elements that nothing shines through. There's the horror element, the mythology element, then there is romance angle to develop the character (but it's so half assed you feel nothing), then there is Linga's backstory which is supposed to be the thriller element and finally the story about the treasure.

The background music in the climax had me scratching my head, I've never seen a movie that uses such an elaborate background score for the creature's entry and fight scene, yous generally want to use minimal background score to keep the focus on the creature, it was the exact opposite here.

Overall, cheap wannabe movie with poor acting and a very mixed up story. Rather than watching the movie, go outside for a walk.

What's all the hype about, you ask? Why are all the nerds giggling like a 5 year old? Well that's because th 3 body series is one of the greatest pieces of science fiction literature in recent history. The books are deeply imaginative, philosophical and ponder some very interesting questions relating to the universe and extra terrestrial life.

Now, If you haven't read the book(s) then it's a totally different thing and the show isn't half as bad and it's something you'll watch once and enjoy and that's about it.

Understandably, they've changed the setting and added some bits to make it work as a TV adaptation but it has more than a few pitfalls:

1. The motley crew of main characters feel generic and there's too much drama thrown in with little time spent on developing them.

2. The above said actors have done a very sub par job and you don't feel any connection to them.

3. There is this sense of existential dread and fear of the unknown you get when you read the book. By adding needless (and poorly done) humour it breaks whatever little tension that has built up.

But to be fair they've done a great job with how they've shown the backstory of Ye Wenjie, all that's been done beautifully.

It's not an easy book to adapt to TV by any measure but trying to cater to a wide general population has turned this into a tasteless mish mash that doesn't satisfy anyone.
