First of all the poster is cool. I watch the movie because of seeing this poster. Ok, move on to the score. Why 8? Because it's good.

Bringing up Indonesian Culture and mix it with modern story telling and fantasy without proper planning and research will be total dump. But they did it. In some way, superhero fans will surely think this is the next bumi langit franchise so each of them will be Marvel and DC of Indonesia. Why not? As long as the movie good, I don't complain.

The character development, storyline, plot twist, action scene, and CGI is prepared well. So kudos to the script writer, director, and the actor as well. I'll surely wait for the next movie.

I don't have high expectation with this movie, and it's helped a lot. So my score reflect all variables in this movie. I don't fully blame the director or script writer, because if they went to far from the original twitter thread it'll bring another criticism. But as a movie, I think it lacks character development, and also the time framing goes off. If I never read the twitter thread, maybe I'll confused because it just jump off from one scene to another without clear context on the premise or story line.

But nevertheless, kudos to the marketing team. They did wonderful job promoting this movie. Despite it delayed for 2 years, but keeping it in top of mind of people is not easy. Congrats for being the most watched Indonesia movie in all time.

The use of English instead of Bahasa Indonesia shows that this film is indeed targeted to enter the international film market. The selection of top-class actors and actresses proved successful in character development. The stories offered are also interesting, showing political intrigue that can indeed happen today. The battle scene is extraordinary, really satisfying the action movie fans. The visual effects (CGI) are also pretty good, but can still be improved.
