Baltasar Kormákur is one of my favorite directors. Everest, The Deep and Trapped are 3 of my all time favorites, I actually didn't know he had directed this film until I saw the opening credits, what a wonderful surprise.
This film gave me all the feels. It's lovely, it's delicate, as another reviewer said. Perfect word to describe it. I personally related to feelings of love and loss and wondering what happened to those special people who were once part of our lives but who we lost touch with.
I read an article saying the lead older actor suffers from Parkinson's and it was a tough shoot for him. This guy was on his last legs, trying to get to his former love. I was also surprised to learn the younger actor is Palmi Kormakur, the directors son. Nice performance. I fell for him.
Finally I have to give a shout out to the score. I thought it was really understated and delicate and suited the film wonderfully.
I hope Mr. Kormákur continues to make many more films and series. I'm a fan!
Watched this on Prime. 10/10.

This movie is about a total psycho elderly patient stalking the halls of a retirement home, undeterred by any staff, feared by every single resident. They all know what he is capable of. Yet it is maddening like one flew over the cuckoos nest because no one believes them. The staff are always on the side of the bad guy. It's also terrifying because they're all stuck inside this place at the mercy of a psychopath. Oh by the way there is also a death cat skulking around the place, the cat is cute though. The cast is excellent of course. This is the best kind of horror movie, creepy and unnerving.
I watched this dumb show a second time because I totally forgot I had already watched it once already. Yes I forgot. Totally forgot the plot, the characters, the outcome, everything. Certain scenes seemed vaguely familiar on my rewatch although the plot and details were entirely forgettable. By the end of my rewatch I was bored out of my gourd. I only kept watching because I'm not a quitter and I wasn't entirely sure if I'd seen it already. I mean the title, the cast and the premise are intriguing. Netflix slow burns are really getting on my nerves. So for this super boring show I have to give it a 3/10. Do not recommend.
