As an avid fan of Anne Rice's work on The Vampire Chronicles, I was surprised at the color-blind casting when I saw the trailers but still relished the fact that they were finally making it into a series.

It is a lackluster interpretation of a beloved book. Taking far too many liberties with the source material and moving it up into this century did it no favors. Everything in the first episode felt a bit off and disconnected even though the production values are clearly good. I don't see how they can connect the series back to the books when they started the series with obvious differences with the book. They decided to age Daniel Molloy up, I wonder how this interpretation could connect him back to Queen Of The Damned, if they were to do the entirety. And they just couldn't find someone more visually appealing than Eric Bogosian?

Characters who were intricately fleshed out in the novel as hypnotizingly beautiful are now one-dimensional and rather plain to look at. Casting a black Louis did not make sense to me as he was born in mid-18th century France and raised in Louisiana as a plantation owner. A Black American plantation master in that century? That is a whole different story to unravel.

They should have just changed the name of the show and I would not have had any giddying expectations of a gorgeous gothic opus.

Love or reject him, Borat is who he is created for. Unnecessary yet you can't take your eyes off him.

Appearing a tad sciolistic this time around, Sasha takes on America yet again and created another very watchable satire amidst the chaos of COVID to highlight some uncomfortable truths on the mentality of an average American everybody.

This century's Monty Python, playful yet heavy handed with something to offend everyone. Just watch it, have your drink and shut up.

Great if you are missing and crushing on Dustin Milligan after Schitts' Creek but unfortunately, Helms' niche comedic skill is painfully splattered all over the series and Schmieding is almost entirely unlikable.
