I have seen Rogue. This is not Rogue. This is of a lower quality, and some of the stock-footage of the actual animals is annoying. Some of the cgi used for the animals is decent, way better than one might expect from a movie like this, which is a lovely surprise.

The characters are distinct and likable enough, and the actors do a good job of portraying them, giving them all enough life so that you can engage with them without overstaying or overstating them.

This is not as tight as some other croc-related movies like Lake Placid or Crawl, but it is certainly better than Primeval or Black Water.

This is enjoyable.

Obviously Rebel Moon I & II are pretty much exactly this story, but this movie has characters, actual drama, and some excitement.

It is just a superior movie. Yes, obviously it has aged, as it was made in 1980, but it does more than enough with what it has to be exciting.

It was made to copy Star Wars (again, obviously), and the opening shot is just A New Hope with another ship, but that sort of homage is to be expected.

I enjoyed this movie, and with its star-studded cast portraying interesting characters it is a fun ride.

I wholly recommend this movie to sci-fi fans everywhere, and if you found Rebel Moon a bit sad then this is the pick-me-up you need!

Again, this is a movie that lives off its FEW reviews, hiking the numbers up. It is clearly not a 5.8 (at the time of writing) and will continue to go down.

It is a passable movie in all respect, but there are choices in directing, design and writing that puts it just under "ok".

You can tell that this was a passion project for many of those involved, but to call it a "masterpiece" is to give it too much credit.

Th effectwork is plugin-based and the makeup is... I mean, it is interesting, but certainly nothing to write home about.

You can safely give this one a miss, as it is nothing much.
