The Great Gatsby is a historical romantic drama film directed by Late Jack Clayton. The film stars Late Robert Redford, Mia Farrow, Sam Waterston, Bruce Dern, Late Scott Wilson, Lois Chiles and Late Karen Black.
The film is based on the 1925 novel by Late F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Nick Carraway is fascinated with and drawn to his neighbour Jay Gatsby's lavish lifestyle. It is only after he becomes a part of Jay's inner circle that he witnesses a world of obsession and tragedy.
Out of which all the Great Gatsby films ever made i have only seen the 2013 one and have to admit that this film is somewhat pale in front of 2013 one. I mean no disrespect to the Director Clayton but somewhat the essence is missing in the film.
Acting in the film is decent with Redford the most impressive of them all followed by Sam Waterson and Dern. Mia Farrow was average and Karen Black was decent.
Screenplay of the film is slow and the viewers might feel disconnected with the film in the first half. The second half of the film is still better and gripping.
Climax and end of the film is good.
Overall somewhat disappointing adaptation of one of the greatest novel.

Takkar is a romantic thriller film directed by Late Bharat Rangachary. The film stars Suniel Shetty, Naseeruddin Shah, Sonali Bendre, Late Shafi Inamdar, Archana Puran Singh, Mohan Joshi, Ishrat Ali, Pramod Moutho and Late Ajit Vachani.
A photographer is framed by a corrupt police officer a day before his wedding. In the jail he studies law to take revenge against the corrupt police officer and is supported by some dreaded criminals who are also looking for a revenge against the police officer.
The film which is inspired by the Hollywood film 'Unlawful Entry' is surprisingly good and should be called an underrated film. The film may not be a masterpiece or one of it's kind but still deserves much better rating then what the film currently has.
The screenplay of the film is decent and will keep the viewers engaged. The songs of the film are average and apart from 'Aankhon mein base ho tum' none of the song is worth remembering.
Acting is superb and all the characters were impressive with a special mention for Naseer who was just terrific in the role of a corrupt police officer. Suniel Shetty was also impressive and Sonali Bender looked very pretty. Support cast was also impressive,
Climax of the film is also decent. A good one time watch film from 90s.

Ittefaq is a neo-noir mystery thriller film directed by Abhay Chopra. The film stars film stars Akshaye Khanna, Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha.
A police officer investigating a double murder case with two suspects and the same are also witnesses, now the officer starts interrogating both by listening to their side of story and find the real culprit.
The film which is a remake of 1969 film of the same name but with some alteration in the plot and the climax. Whereas 1969 was a gripping murder mystery film this film seems more of a unconvincing film with a disappointing climax. The best part of the film is the gripping screenplay and Akshaye Khanna who is aging like a fine wine. The film doesn't have any songs which keeps the intensity intact and doesn't breaks the rhythm of the film.
As far as acting is concerned Akshaye Khanna was amazing in the portrayal of an Investigation officer. Sidharth Malhotra was impressive in some of the scenes and looked lost in some but overall he was impressive, Sonakshi Sinha one of the terrible actress of Hindi film industry was average. Supporting cast was impressive.
The climax of the film was unconvincing although gives a very thin ray of a possible sequel. Overall a one time watch film.
