I've always been fascinated with relationship dynamics and I've watched this show evolve ever since Day One. It hasn't disappointed me. To the detractors: this is the oldest profession I know of - why? Because people want what they want and if we can't get it, some of us can buy it, and those of us who can, do. Guys who are stupid think that any woman can "get laid" by just walking into a bar, but for us it's a LOT more complicated than that - it is for you too, stupid guys! These men are a nice assortment and they're so complicated and interesting that I'd have a hard time pigeon-holing any of them, which makes the show so much fun.

For instance, Brace had a vasectomy awhile back, yet he LOVES children and suddenly wishes he could have one - however, he's currently involved with a woman with EXTREME fake eyelashes, so I just don't know where this can go.

Nick just insured his dick for a million dollars, which tells you right up front that he thinks his dick is all he has to offer - he's all about the presentation and he doesn't even get THAT right, IMO. WTF is UP with that haircut? Ash seems intensely spiritual, yet he had a girlfriend for awhile but she has disappeared. Ash is gorgeous, but I wouldn't hire him.

I like the former Marine a lot, but we don't get to see much of him, unfortunately.

Vin, though, is the MAN ♥ I'd hire his sweet self in a New York minute if I could afford to! He has the most wonderful LAUGH, to begin with - he just LOSES himself and makes you laugh with him, and he says that when he has a woman in front of him, he's a happy man! He tries to find out right up front what a woman wants and needs and then does his best to supply her with it, and I've never seen him fail. Vin has a warm and caring heart and he has no problem making a woman feel loved and cared for - it's just what he DOES ♥ All in all, I hope this show goes on for years and years! The jealous men, prudes and whatnot can whine all they want, but as long as this show goes on, I'll be all over it!

Maybe I'm just not as theatrically pseudo-sophisticated as those who gave this wonderful movie the low ratings it has received here, but I found it delightful! It has everything I ask for in a movie - it totally engaged me from start to finish and it ended much too soon for me. I want a sequel! It didn't need big-name actors to get its points across and I only recognized one actor there; the others whom I didn't remember having seen before this film did great jobs with their respective roles. Douglas Spain was captivating as the highly beleaguered Carlos - so much so that I plan to follow him in whatever future roles he plays. I have Boy Toy at the top of my Blockbuster queue and I wish it could arrive in my mailbox YESTERDAY! This movie was nominated for awards, people, and it won one so do yourselves a favor and give it a chance!

I love the character Gere portrayed so flawlessly - Jesse's sheer intensity is a joy to behold. I really enjoyed the music throughout the film also, and the way it captures the varying moods so well. Kaprisky does a good job with her character as well - the exotic Frenchwoman Monica, torn between her plans for her life and her moth-to-the-flame attraction to the exuberant, unstoppable Jesse. This film has just had a run on EPIX on demand and I must have seen it six or seven times - it's one of my all-time favorites: those few, special films that, although I can almost speak the dialogue in unison with the characters, are still the ones I reach for and watch again and again.
