No wonder Chris Smith loves the other dimension.
He is feted as a hero, he has the Peace-Cycle. His father and brother are alive.
When there is trouble, Chris is happy to leap into action and it is appreciated by everybody.
In his own universe. Rick Flag Sr and A. R. G. U. S. Wants to send Chris to the dogs. A much worse fate is in store for Eagly.
Then there is Chris's troubled relationship with Emilia Harcourt that could be going nowhere.
The episode has a very grungy look that reflects the tone of the episode and the soundtrack.
There is a great action set piece at the end. Until then it meandered a bit.

He took out an double indemnity policy recently. His first policy payment was the last one.
Tom got drunk at a party, had an argument with his wife Alice and then died in a car accident. The body was burnt to a crisp.
Walter smells a rat and thinks that Tom faked his death. His wife Alice (Jill Ireland) must be in on it.
John Hunter investigates and seems to think that Alice could be innocent of any shenanigans. The viewer knows differently.

He fell in love with Laura (Joan Elan) a bright student who is half Japanese and half American.
A romance where Avery loses his job. Then goes to America and vows that Laura will follow him and they can get married.
The war intervenes and fate takes him on a different path.
Maybe this was made too soon after the second world war. It certainly is an odd love story but it was not that intriguing or good.
