I'm not mad at Ice Cube for getting a paycheck. However just viewer beware this feels like a 1990s episode of the X-files, the acting is absolutely horrid and I know Cube isn't Denzel but he is better than this! Mostly an ad for prime and Amazon, the product placement was just too much. A movie that's mostly stock footage of military stuff or green sceen era alien effects that are on par with starship troopers 2 - part 2 not the first one. The thing that killed it for me was the corniest jokes and "one liners" ever , I felt sorry that a pioneer gangster rapper had to say some of them. I'm sure they made this movie for $25 million or less - if it was more someone got ripped off.

Beyond disappointed. I've never seen a movie with so much action that is so run of the mill that I was tired of seeing guns shot. No characters at all that you care about , you don't even remember one of their names. La Monica garret is so much better than this , this is Thomas from 1883, also in lioness ... 2 of the best Shows on television. Why he took this role is just as big of a mystery of why Linda Hamilton did this? She's got James Cameron money ? What do they have that they blackmailed her to be in this garbage? Clearly I love Aliens, and there is several scenes you can tell are a nod to aliens but just really poor execution. What made aliens - Aliens - was the actors , characters , creepy setting and the pulse rifles and advanced weaponry. This has the budget but just misses the mark On every single aspect that made Aliens One of the best sci fi action films of all time. Linda Hamilton is literally in 5 mins of the movie if that.

Viola Davis is probably the best pound for pound dramatic actress of my lifetime (45 year old) why she did this movie is beyond my comprehension. It is absolutely terrible, and I love Anthony Starr also. It has the most generic story, action scenes and every single joke to be cute misses the mark by a mile. Comedy is not Davis's strong suit. I love viola in everything she does but I'm wondering what forced her to do this garbage? This rivals a Sharknado or 2012 zombie apocalypse budget film, you know from Asylum studios who typically pumps out crap films for $300k-$500k per film and I bet somehow Amazon spent 10s of millions on this. It also feels like a subliminal propaganda film which is still tailoring to the wrong audience / voters. Amanda Waller was strong and a great character for Davis. However at 59 years old it's not time to take a flawless acting career and try your hand at action movies. The woman king was enough. Please stick to what you're a master of viola. DRAMAS!
