  • A hilarious Spanish comedy with a top-notch cast, featuring some of the most prominent comedians of the 1960s and 70s.

A low-budget Spanish production, set in Madrid and Benidorm, that blends humor and summer traditions, where husbands stay in the big city while their wives go on vacation. When Adela (Florinda Chico) becomes pregnant, her doctor recommends she rest and spend her vacation at the beach, given her age, so she decides to go to Benidorm. Her husband (Tony Leblanc) stays alone in Madrid, as do two of his office colleagues. Thus, three friends (Tony Leblanc, Rafael Alonso, Antonio Ozores) who work together in an office have to remain in the city without their wives. Meanwhile, the wives (Laly Soldevila, Florinda Chico) stay in Benidorm. In Madrid, philandering husbands are "on their own" and try to flirt with foreign women, but romantic complications and jealousy inevitably arise. Therefore, they take a chance and have some fun by hooking up with three Swedish girls (Helga Liné, Marisa Medina, Erika Wallner). The three attractive Swedish tourists have taken an interest in them; however, it seems there are other motives behind their interest.

A typically funny Spanish comedy with an ensemble cast in a rather lighthearted holiday story about the so-called "Rodríguez" (a term used to describe men who are single) and the tourism boom in 1960s Spain. It also touches on middle-class family problems and other vices. It's full of frivolity, selfishness, duplicity, adultery, and other deceptions. It's a very weak and rather silly film, lacking the spark, chaos, and madness of other Spanish comedies, with a clumsy script by Rafael Vázquez Fajardo, who also produced it. Three Swedish Women for Three Rodriguezes is made in the style of Fernando Merino's Love Spanish Style (1967) or Pedro Lazaga's earlier Summer 70 (1970). It's a comedy of manners, addressing the supposed lust of Spanish husbands, their desire for vivacious foreign women, family and couple customs, and showcasing typical images of the Mediterranean sun of the 1960s.

The film features charming performances from a large cast, with Tony Leblanc, Rafael Alonso, and Antonio Ozores in the lead roles, but it's Florinda Chico who steals the show as the jealous and demanding wife. A large number of actors and actresses, some more well-known than others, deliver engaging performances, including Laly Soldevila, Helga Liné, Marisa Medina, Erika Wallner, and supporting actors such as Francisco Valladares, Antonio Pica, José Moreno, Beni Deus, and Víctor Israel. The motion picture was unevenly directed by prolific filmmaker Pedro Lazaga.

  • A Christmas Carol's updating, in which an egoistic television executive is haunted by three spirits bearing lessons on Christmas Eve.

A callous TV executive Frank (Bill Murray) staging ¨A Christmas Carol¨ is himself visited by the three ghosts: past, present and future, he then sees the light. Frank overworks his assistant Grace (Alfre Woodward), forcing her to constantly break plans with her family. After firing staff member Eliot Loudermilk (Bob Goldthwait) on Christmas Eve, selfish Frank is visited by a series of ghosts who give him a chance to re-evaluate his actions and right the wrongs of his past. Bill Murray is back among the ghosts., only this time, it's three against one !. The spirits will move you in odd and hysterical ways !.

A nice film dealing with the known story about an old bitter miser who makes excuses for his uncaring nature and learns real compassion when the ghosts visit him on Christmas Eve. Bill Murray's first star comedy in four years following Ghost Busters in an updating of 'A Christmas Caro'l with him cast in the Scrooge character as a totally venal TV chief whose taste lies well and really in the gutter. Although attacked in some quarters for his questionable humor, eventually the film works quite well mainly thanks to him. However, at times Bill Murray is too sardonic and cynic to be believable. It remains a top-drawer and big-budgeted production with sumptuous settings and lush costumes and some breathtaking special effects. There is a great support cast accompanying the illustrious Bill Murray, such as: John Forsythe, John Glover, Bobcat Goldthwait, Michael J. Pollard, Alfre Woodard , Brian Doyle Murray, David Johansen as Ghost of Christmas Past, Carol Kane as Ghost of Christmas Present and special appearances from John Houseman; Lee Majors and Robert Mitchum. The motion picture was decently directed by Richard Donner, though somewhat disjointed.

Other versions about this great story by Charles Dickens, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions are as follows : The rather obscure 1935 version with Sir Seymour Hicks ; adaptation released by MGM in 1938 with Reginald Owen , Gene Lockhart ; 1951 British production by Brian Desmond Hurst with Alastair Sim, Jack Warner and the 1970 musical, with Albert Finney , Frank Finlay . Under the title of 'A Christmas Carol' a cartoon rendition (1997) by Stan Phillips and voiced by Tim Curry and another (1991) by Jimmy T. Murakami with Simon Callow . The made-for-TV productions: 1999 with Patrick Stewart , Richard E. Grant , Saskia Reeves , Laura Fraser , Joel Grey and the 2004 musical , with Kelsey Grammer . Another musical with the classic muppets: ¨The Muppet Christmas Carol¨ (1992) stars : Kermit the Frog , Miss Piggy , The Great Gonzo , The Rat Rizzo , Fozzie Bear and Michael Caine directed by Brian Henson . After that , ¨Robert Zemeckis's Christmas Carol (2009)¨ in which Jim Carrey demonstrates once again his versatility on screen ; it is given the full ¨Motion Capture¨ deluxe treatment in a superior film directed by Robert Zemeckis with Jim Carrey , Robin Wright , Colin Firth , Dominic West . Finally , ¨A Christmas Carol series ¨(2019) in 3 episodes with Guy Pearce , Andy Serkis , Joe Alwyn , Stephen Graham.

  • Better than expected Antonio Mercero's drama depicts a fierce confrontation between the rural and urban worlds.

Thrilling , tense and enjoyable Spanish film with some doses of violence. A farmer discovers a Celtiberian treasure in a town in Castilla. Archaeology professor Jerónimo Otero (José Coronado's film debut)'s pacifism is put to supreme test when he attempts to protect his students . Jerónimo is sent to quantify the find and continue the excavations, along with four students. Among them is Marga (Ana Álvarez), a beautiful 18-year old girl with whom Otero is romantically involved. The archaeologist's arrival in the village creates an atmosphere of mistrust and hostility among the inhabitants (Alvaro de Luna, Saturnino Garcia, Rafael Hernandez, among others). It escalates quickly into a bloody battle between the Castilian rednecks. The local villagers seem determined to keep what they consider their rural property that they know much better than the visitors .

A good dramatic film contains thrills , suspense , twists, confrontation, violence, and results to be entertaining enough . A controversial violence-themed picture ; dealing with a known plot , as a group of urban youngsters go to a rural little village and face increasingly vicious local harassment, culminating in a fatal outburst of violence. As their tranquil excavation turns to horror when they discover some hidden secrets . As the jealous as well as resentful locals assault the excavation, as they are viciously attacked . The excavation put under siege by the incensed villagers, but the archeologists defend it with ferocity. We are facing a tense film , tough , brilliant in many moments, with some aspect of western , with a grand and impressive ending. The picture packs tension, intrigue, intense drama and violence . The story takes parts , here and there , from famous films such as ¨Deliverance", ¨Wild bunch¨ , ¨Next of kin¨, "Straw Dogs" or ¨The Backwoods¨.

Based on the homonymous novel by Miguel Delibes who usually portrays the rural world about life and relationships among the urban citizens and the villagers, while giving the voice ordinary people such as:¨¨El voto del Sr. Cayo¨ set at a Castilian village in the Seventies , during the succesful ¨Spanish Transition¨ in which conveys very well the atmosphere of the transition , with other interesting themes , like the rural life, love of nature and its communion with man in a well-understood environmentalism, its incompatibility with certain progress of civilization, of which it is on the margin . His appreciation of rural life and nature was reflected in many of his novels. All these Delibes's ideas were brought to life from the hand of Antonio Giménez Rico, one of the directors who best and rightly has reflected the personal world of the writer from Valladolid in films as ¨Retrato de Familia¨ (1976) based on Novel titled ¨Mi idolatrado hijo Sisi¨, ¨El disputado voto del Sr. Cayo¨y ¨Las Ratas¨, along with Mario Camus in "The Saint Innocents" and ¨La sombra del ciprés es alargada¨de Luís Alcoriza. After graduating from law school at the University of Valladolid, writer Miguel Delibes found a job in the regional daily newspaper "El Norte de Castilla". He later started out as a newspaper cartoonist before becoming a journalist at the newspaper and in 1958 its director, editor, and novelist. A victim of censorship by Franco's dictatorship after exposing the harsh conditions of life and work of rural peasants, he preferred to resign from the newspaper in 1963. Unlike many of the leading intellectuals in Spain, Mr. Delibes never fled postwar Spain or the Franco dictatorship, which he abhorred.

Won Spain's most important prizes: the Cervantes, the Prince of Asturias Award for Literature (often described as the Spanish Nobel Prize); and the National Literature Award. In 1973 he was inducted into the Royal Spanish Academy. His works have been translated into more than 30 languages, at least a dozen of them in English, including "The Heretic", "The Rats", "The Wars of Our Ancestors", "The Stuff of Heroes" and "Five Hours With Mario", considered by many to be his best novel. Published more than 20 novels, several short-story collections and dozens of books about travel and his favorite hobbies, including hunting, fishing and soccer. He often described himself as "a hunter who writes."

The motion picture was well directed by Antonio Mercero though has some flaws and resulted to get a moderated success at Spanish Box office . Mercero is a author of great hits TV series and several award-winning films . In 1970 he started working for TV as he shot several documentaries and some chapters for the series "Crónicas Un Pueblo" or ¨Chronicles of a village¨(1971) , a big hit in Spain despite its deep ideological content, risky for the period it was made in ; and specially successful was ¨the phone booth¨ (1970) (TV), which won 10 national and international awards, including the Emmy Award in 1973. Then he realized ¨Los Pajaritos¨ (1973), ¨Gioconda is sad¨ (1975), the series "Ese Señor De Negro" or ¨That man in black¨ (1975), La Noche del Licenciado (1978), and his three biggest hit smashes : ¨Turno Oficio¨ TV series about advocates in law , "Blue summer , Verano Azul" (1978) which became a sociological phenomenon and "Farmacia de Guardia" (1990) about an Apotheke . Other important film directed by Mercero was ¨Don Juan Querido Fantasma¨ , an amusing comedy well performed by recently deceased Juan Luis Galiardo . Following working for TV as ¨Manolito Gafotas¨ series and some of his latest works in cinema have been ¨Guerra De Papa¨ also based on Delibes novel, ¨Esperame en Cielo¨ a parody about a Franco's double starring José Soriano , and ¨Floor 4ª¨ (2002) a film about children with cancer treated with a touch of humor . His last film was ¨? Y Tu Quién Eres?¨ about Alzheimer illness starring Manuel Alexandre . El Tesoro Rating : 6.5/10, notable . Well worth seeing .

  • An immortal Disney classic about the puppet who, with the help of a cricket as his conscience, must prove himself worthy of becoming a real boy.

Disney's second animated film featuring Pinocchio. It tells the story of a small wooden puppet, lovingly crafted by the old woodcarver Geppetto and brought to life by a kind fairy. Then, with the help of the compassionate Blue Fairy, the newly carved creation comes to life as Pinocchio, bringing joy and hope back to Geppetto's broken heart. The film then follows Pinocchio's mischievous and disobedient adventures as he searches for his place in the world. With the help of his conscience, Jiminy Cricket, and his father Geppetto, Pinocchio learns what it means to be human and experiences the many paradoxes of life. Being real is in your heart! The classic tale comes to life! For the happiest moment of your life! The story everyone loves! Pure enjoyment... no strings attached! When you wish upon a star! For anyone who's ever wished upon a star! When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true! This summer, the timeless classic returns to theaters!

A wonderful fantasy in which Pinocchio, lured by a cunning fox, experiences various adventures as he tries to return home safely. It includes scary scenes, like when Geppetto, Pinocchio, and his friend Jiminy Cricket are swallowed by a whale, and Pleasure Island, where naughty children are turned into donkeys. Splendid animation at its finest and a Disney classic that has stood the test of time. Overflowing with detail and captivating artwork, it even includes an Oscar-winning song: "When You Wish Upon a Star." Plus, unforgettable characters like Geppetto the woodcarver, and Cleo the little fish. And the villains: the fox J. Worthington Foolfellow, the street cat Gideon, the showman Stromboli, and the terrifying trainer. And of course, the cat Figaro was Walt Disney's favorite character. Disney insisted that the kitten appear in the film as often as possible. It fact, Figaro also had his own cartoon series, beginning with Figaro and Cleo (1943) and appearances in the "Pluto" cartoon series. The creation of Jiminy Cricket was entrusted to Ward Kimball, his first assignment as animation director. Originally, Kimball designed the character to look more like a real cricket, but Walt Disney found it "too gross" and demanded that it be made adorable. The motion picture was well made by an expert group of animated experts: Norman Ferguson, Wilfred Jackson, Jack Kinney, Hamilton Luske, Bill Roberts, Ben Sharpsteen; all of them under supervision by Walt Disney.

Carlo Collodi's classic work has several versions, such as: Pinocchio (1983) by Fairy Tale Theatre, directed by Peter Medak, starring Pee-Wee Herman, James Coburn, and Carl Reiner; The Adventures of Pinocchio (1996) by Steve Barron, starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Martin Landau, Genevieve Bujold, Rob Schneider, and Udo Kier; Pinocchio (2002) by Roberto Benigni, starring Roberto Benigni, Nicoletta Braschi, and Kim Rossi-Stuart; Pinocchio's Revenge by Kevin S. Tenney, starring Rosalind Allen, Todd Allen, and Ron Canada; and Pinocchio (2022) by Robert Zemeckis, starring Tom Hanks, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Angus Wright, Cynthia Erivo, and Lorraine Bracco. Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro (2022) voices of Ewan McGregor, Cate Blanchett, Gregory Mann, Tilda Swinton, Tim Blake Nelson, Christoph Waltz; unlike most versions of Pinocchio, which take place in 19th-century Italy, Guillermo del Toro decided to set this version in 1930s Italy under the rule of Benito Mussolini and the National Fascist Party.

  • A routine sequel with similar but frankly inferior ingredients to the previous one.

Blockbuster second adaptation of Marvel's diabolical hero, with Nicolas Cage, giving an adequate performance and in which Johnny Blaze, tortured by the Ghost Rider's curse, gets a chance of redemption through protecting the Devil's son, whose father is pursuing him. Alongside Cage there's a decent supporting cast, including the following: Violante Placido, Ciarán Hinds, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth and a brief appearance by Christopher Lambert as a fanatical monk. In the first entry the Devil, Mephistopheles (Peter Fonda), sends his bounty hunter of the damned, the Phantom Rider, to retrieve the contract of San Venganza for a thousand corrupt souls. Every generation has a Phantom Rider, cursed to roam the Earth, collecting on the Devil's deals. Seeing that the contract would give Mephistopheles the power to bring Hell to Earth, the Rider refuses to give him the contract and runs away, escaping the Devil in the process. The biker has to carry out a promise, a cursed pact with the Devil. Long ago he made a deal to save someone he loved. He renounces the love of his girlfriend Roxanne (Eva Mendes) and sells his soul to the devil Mephistopheles, who has approached him with the promise of freeing his father from a serious illness. Subjugated to his will, Blaze faces an important mission: to curb the ambitions of Blackheart (Wes Bentley), who plans to displace his father and create an even more horrible hell. In ¨Ghost Rider: spirit of vengeance¨ Blaze, the Ghost Rider, must risk everything and join forces with the leader of a cult called Moreau (Idris Elba) and against a group of rebel monks led by Methodius (Christopher Lambert) to save a child (Fergus Riordan) and his mother (Violante Placido) from the clutches of evil (Ciarán Hinds) and try to free himself once and for all from his cursed fate. He rides again !. Hell Is About To Be Unleashed !. His Curse Will Become His Power . Was everything he sacrificed truly worth?.He's the only one that can walk on both worlds. Lets Ride !. Long ago, he made a deal... to save someone he loved... What he didn't know was the price he would have to pay...

Johnny Blaze returns, the Marvel character, in an inferior version to its successful predecessor. Nicolas Cage brings the character to life, and he continues to fight against the curse of being the devil's bounty hunter. In ¨Ghost Rider: spirit of vengeance¨ three comic book fans join forces: Nicolas Cage, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. The latter direct this film adaptation of Marvel's cursed superhero. The directors revisit the genre with this story inspired by the Faust myth and starring Nicolas Cage. Cage is a professed fan of the character, who was reincarnated by Cage in ¨Ghost Rider¨ by Mark Steven Johnson starring Wes Bentley, Peter Fonda, while this second outing also displays a fine support cast , such as Violante Placido, Ciarán Hinds, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth, Anthony Head and Vincent Regan. Apparently, Peter Fonda was offered to come back in this film but after reading the first 5 pages of the script he flat out refused. After this film, the live-action film rights to Ghost Rider went back to Marvel Studios.

Nicolas Cage is comfortable as Ghost Rider but the plot holes, flaws and gaps are too deep for even his Herbie-like arachnid motorcycle. Here bad guys with dirty teeth and sodden leathers are dispatched with lacklustre indifference.

The film features incredibly spectacular FX, a careful aesthetic of the main characters and an enjoyable cast that is completed by the beautiful italian Violante Placido, daughter of notorious Latin actors, Michele Placido and Simonetta Stefanelli.

The motion picture was badly directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. While the director of the previous entry, Mark Steven Johnson, will serve as executive producer alongside Ashok Amritraj, Ari Arad, Tom Cohen, Michael De Luca and the indispensable Stan Lee . The screenplay and the shooting is developed with no originality and it has some failures and shortcomings. Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor have directed a few acceptable films such as : ¨Crank¨, its sequel : ¨Crank high voltage¨, ¨Gamer¨, ¨Vatican Tapes¨, ¨Panama¨ . ¨Ghost Rider : Spirit of Vengeance¨ rating : 4.5/10 . The film will appeal to Nicolas Cage fans, only.

  • A good vehicle for Rocío Dúrcal, embodying the title role and featuring many attractive songs and dances.

The charming Rocio Durcal gives a sensitive acting the role of the film's title, who is hired to impersonate the disappeared sister-in-law of a rich man. Agreeable and colorful musical comedy starred by the always sympathetic Rocio Durcal , being accompanied by a great plethora of familiar secondaries . Of course , Rocio steals the show as the splendid singer and dancer girl, and playing a double character. Cristina (Rocio Durcal), after being widowed with a young child, has to teach languages to survive. Cristina Guzmán's only friend is her assistant and advisor Balbina (Rafaela Aparicio). One day she is discovered by a young man named Alphonse (Arturo Fernandez), who convinces her to impersonate his missing sister Mara (also played by Rocio Durcal) - to whom she has an impressive physical resemblance - and so achieve the mental and physical recovery of his brother Javier (Emilio Gutiérrez Caba), her abandoned husband, who suffers from heart disease. Meanwhile, Cristina Guzmán is assigned a governess called Mónica (the ever-charming veteran Isabel Garcés). For a time, the set-up works, but everything is complicated when the real Mara (Rocio Durcal herself) makes an appearance.

This is an entertaining and enjoyable musical Dramedy (comedy and drama) proceeded in great simplicity and delicacy with plenty of vitality , humor and vivid imagination. An engaging comedy with gorgeous musical numbers , colorful cinematography, and providing a lot of chances of dancing and singing , standing out the spectacular theatrical sequences . As Rocio performs wondergul songs, such as: ¨La primavera¨, ¨La campana¨, ¨Lástima¨, ¨I Surrender¨, composed by Fernando Arbex, Fernando Moraleda, Enrique Llovet, Antonio de Lara, Adolfo Waitzman and Sandra Lebrocq.

This is the second version based on the novel "Cristina Guzmán, profesora de idiomas" by Carmen de Icaza; the first one was Cristina Guzmán 1943 by Gonzalo Delgrás starring Marta Santaolalla, Ismael Merlo, Ismael Merlo, Luis García Ortega, Carlos Muñoz

A fun and entertaining story in which Rocío Durcal plays a dual role: the demure widow and mother of a young boy, and the showgirl and singer, putting on almost erotic shows for the time, daring to sing and dance in a swimsuit or in a cabaret. So the main question of the movie results to be Cristina adopts the role another person by posing as the escaped wife; at the beginning the masquerade works, but then appears the true one. Well performed by Rocio Durcal , the popular teen of the Sixties and Sixties discovered by producer Luis Sanz when participated as a TV singer contest called Primer Aplauso or First Applause. This prodigy adolescent started his films debut : 1962 Cancion de Juventud by Luis Lucía and Rocio dela Mancha, following Deanna Durbin's Hollywood style . Later on , she played in 1965 Mas Bonita que Ninguna , Acompañame, Buenos Días Condesita and Cristina Guzman, all of them shot by Luis Cesar Amadori. As an adult actress she performed the musical Las Leandras by Eugenio Martin and La Novicia Rebelde by Luis Lucía, a peculiar version of La Hermana de San Sulpicio . Moreover , Rocio attempted to change her traditional style with a dramatic role : Marianela 1972 by Angelino Fons , following Diselo con flores 1974 and an erotic film with Barbara Rey titled Me Siento Extraña . These films failed at boxoffice then she became a famous singer of popular Mexican songs and Rancheras, getting big hits all over the World . The likeable Rocio Durcal being stunningly supported by a good cast , such as : Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, Juan Luís Galiardo, Mónica Randall, Pedro Mari Sánchez, Francisco Guijar, Rafael Alcántara, José María Caffarel, Luis Morris, Alfonso del Real, Lola Herrera y special mention for Rafaela Aparicio as Balbina and Isabel Garcés as governess Mónica .

The scenarios and studios in which develop the deeds are well designed by the prolific designer Eduardo De La Torre Fuente , filled with attractive musical set pieces excellently choreographed and musical score responds appropriately to the ambient . Luminous and glimmer cinematography originating a careful atmosphere by cameraman Antonio L. Ballesteros and mostly shot in Madrid, in Ballesteros Studios . Funny , interesting and enjoyable script from Jesús María de Arozamena, Rafael J. Salvia and director Luis Cesar Amadori himself . The motion picture was professionally directed by Luis Cesar Amadori with emotion and enthusiasm enough. The Argentinean , nationalized Spanish writer/filmmaker Amadori so consistently mixed the good with the mediocre that it became quite impossible to know what to expect from him next . Here the craftsman Luis Cesar Amadori blends loving intrigues along with popular songs . Amadori was an Argentina-born former journalist and music critic who became a leading stage producer and dramatist , and , subsequently, writer-director of motion pictures in Argentina . Luis was manager in 150 theatrical spectacles . He debuts in ¨Puerto Nuevo¨(1936) co-directed by Mario Soffici . Amadori often used the pseudonym ¨Gabriel Peña¨ when he wrote his scripts . After the overthrow of Peron worked in Spain for a decade , for 1958 to 1968 he made 17 films , such as : 1965 ¨Más Bonita Que Ninguna¨ , 1964 ¨El Señor De La Salle¨ with Mel Ferrer , 1964 ¨Como Dos Gotas Agua¨ , 1963 ¨La Casta Susana¨ , 1961 ¨Pecado De Amor¨ , 1961 ¨Alerta en el Cielo¨ , 1960 ¨Mi Ultimo tango¨ , 1960 ¨Un Trono para Cristy¨ , 1959 ¨Una Gran Señora¨ , 1958 ¨Una Muchachita De Valladolid¨ . Most of them were vehicles of popular actresses as ¨Rocio Durcal¨ , ¨Marujita Diaz¨ , ¨Pili and Mili¨ and Sara Montiel with whom made this his biggest hit : ¨La Violetera¨ .

  • Fun Spanish comedy with a top-notch cast formed by the biggest comedian actors from the sixties and Seventies .

When Adela (Florinda Chico) becomes pregnant, her doctor recommends she rest and spend her vacation at the beach, given her age, so she decides to go to Benidorm. Nice performances from a large cast as Tony Leblanc, Rafael Alonso, Antonio Ozores, but is Florinda Chico who steals the show as the charming, gorgeous and jealous wife. Highlights, above all, a great plethora of notorious actors playing attractive roles, and other secondaries as Francisco Valladares, Antonio Pica, José Moreno, Beni Deus and Víctor Israel

  • Intelligent and ingenious thriller with fine acting and a twisted intrigue.

An attractive and tense fim with magnificent acting by Riz Ahmed and competent direction by David Mackenzie. Dealing with a broker (Riz Ahmed) of lucrative payoffs between corrupt corporations and the individuals who threaten them breaks his own rules when a new client seeks his protection to stay alive. Our starring is a solitary man in both his personal and professional life, having problems with alcohol, for which he attends a self-help group. His mood of isolation and loneliness is pretty well established . But his world is turned upside down when he receives a call from Sarah (Lily James), a former pharmaceutical employee who possesses dangerous information and fears for her life. He makes contact with the former through an ingenious communication system for the deaf, which guarantees this character's anonymity. What begins as just another case transforms into a race against time: leaks, pursuits, and betrayals drag them both into a dangerous conspiracy. As he discovers shattering revelation believes that the lives of the young girl is in jeopardy . ¨No callers are identified. No conversations are recorded. No phone records are kept. Now speak clearly and when you are finished say: 'Go ahead',¨.

This interesting flick turns out to be a powerful statement about privacy , guilty, responsibility; being ¨industrial espionage¨ as the basis and theme of the film; that's why there's a negotiator specializing in mediating conflicts between large corporations and whistleblowers who regret leaking information about their employers. Resulting to be an elegant and minimalist homage to the conspiracy thriller reminiscent of 1970s films like ¨Francis Ford Coppola's The Conversation¨ or ¨Sidney Pollack's Three Days of the Condor¨, with two excellent protagonists, that keeps you on the edge of your seat for two tense hours. The picture contains thrills , emotion , thought-provoking issues and plot twists during the last reel . This is Justin Piasecki's first screenplay, and it's one of those unusual stories that introduces us to a universe as interesting as it is unknown: that of industrial espionage, one of the darkest and most hopeless corners of corporate capitalism, which has given us masterpieces like ¨Michael Clayton¨ and ¨The Insider¨. The script, which is almost always ahead of the viewer, is built on a series of meticulous and insightful details, which you have to pay close attention to grasp, and contains a plot twist that will keep you glued to your seat, leaving you utterly surprised. Very good acting by Riz Ahmed as a freelance broker and surveillance expert; he's a negotiator specializing in conflicts between large corporations and whistleblowers. While Lily James belongs to this last category and her performance is brilliant and full of surprising nuances. Adding other appropriate secundaries, such as Sam Worthington, Willa Fitzgerald, Jared Abrahamson, Matthew Maher and Victor Garber.

David MacKenzie delivers equally elegant and stimulating direction, showing skillful signs of his intelligence in both writing and in the realization. Mackenzie is a good craftsman who often works with Chris Pine and Ewan McGregor and most of his features were shot in Scotland and are set in Scotland. David is an expert director and producer, known for Fuze (2025), Under the Banner of Heaven(2022), Outlaw King (2018) Starred Up (2013), Perfect Sense (2011) and Hell or High Water (2016). David directed one Oscar nominated performance: Jeff Bridges in Hell or High Water (2016), his biggest hit. Relay (2024) rating: 6.5/10. Better than average.

  • A fun mystery and comedy film telling the story of five teenagers who uncover a plot to steal jewels in a cemetery.

The Mortimers," a new family adventure comedy from Telecinco Cinema and Pokeepsie Films, directed by Álex de la Iglesia. Combining mystery, horror, and dark humor, the film "The Mortimers," cleverly titled "The Deadtimers," is an adaptation of "Les Croques," the successful French comic book trilogy by illustrator Léa Mazé, winner of the Best Children's Comic Award from the French Association of Comic Book Journalists and Critics in 2018. Álvaro Fernández Armero (8 Moroccan Surnames) directs this charming story, which begins with the chilling scene of a woman buried alive. Iratxe Emparan is a French teenager who, through a family exchange program, goes to live with a Spanish house next to a cemetery, befriending a boy her own age, Diego Montejo, and his parents, Alexandra Jiménez and Víctor Clavijo. They attend school together, making both friends and enemies. Throughout, the film tells the story of five friends who uncover a jewelry heist plot in a cemetery, but no adult believes them. The group of boys and girls decides to investigate. However, the discovery of a corpse and stolen jewels leads them far beyond their expectations.

Produced by Álex de la Iglesia and his wife Carolina Bang, and based on the comic book trilogy of the same name illustrated by French artist Léa Mazé, it's a charming story full of mystery, morbid humor, and a touch of horror sprinkled throughout. It follows a group of young boys and girls, five teenagers who embark on the adventures of a lifetime. The young actors, along with some more veteran performers, deliver engaging and empathetic performances. Newcomer Diego Montejo is acceptable as an intelligent and introverted fifteen-year-old boy who is bullied because his parents own the only funeral home in town, while Iratxe Emparan is quite good as a spirited French woman accustomed to everything except living surrounded by the dead. The parents, veterans of the acting world, are Víctor Clavijo and Alexandra Jiménez. Pepe Lorente plays the tombstone carver, who tells them one of the many mysterious stories hidden within the cemetery, while Belén Rueda is a peculiar town doctor with dark secrets to her name.

There is a captivating and mysterious score by composer Vanessa Garde. Adding to the music are songs and pieces such as "Libre et Déter," performed and written by Laura Adler; "Simpática pero Problemática" by Rigoberta Bandini; "Desafiando a la Muerte" by Melani García; and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem in D Minor, K. 626: Sequentia: Lacrimosa. The film also features colorful and vibrant cinematography by Aitor Mantxola. The film was well and professionally directed by Álvaro Fernández Armero and proved to be a box office success in Spain in 2025. This director, Álvaro Armero, was born in 1969 in Madrid, where he usually films his movies. He is a good director and screenwriter, an expert in comedies, and especially known for *Todo es Mentira* (1994), *Salir Pitando*, *Nada en la Nevera*, *Brujas*, *Las ovejas no pierden en tren*, and *El Juego De Verdad*, undoubtedly one of his funniest films. He also directed a successful horror film, a slasher titled *El Arte De Morir*. Rating: 6.5/10, a decent film. The movie will appeal to fans of Spanish mystery comedies.

  • An evocative and colorful film set in the 1920s during Prohibition and with continuous gangster warfare.

Notable movie with intense drama , corruption and mobster fights; including lush set design, evocative cinematography and top-notch acting. Boston, 1920s. Joe Coughlin (Ben Affleck), son of a prominent city police officer, Thomas Coughlin (Brendan Gleeson) is a former soldier still mentally scarred by World War I. In the midst of Prohibition, Coughlin decides not to follow in his father's footsteps and joins organized crime, becoming caught in the crossfire of a war between two powerful mobsters, Maso Pescatore (Remo Girone) and Albert White (Robert Glenister) . He becomes a bootlegger, smuggling alcohol until Roosevelt repeals Prohibition. Gradually, his rising career in the mafia world leads him to become a major Gulf Coast gangster. Along the way, he meets Emma Gould (Sienna Miller), a woman who will change his life forever. But everything is jeopardized when Coughlin's ambition puts his family and his own reputation at great risk. As his bootlegging business takes off, he finds himself hard pressed to keep control over the empire he has built and the ties he has forged along the way . Because... can a man be both a criminal and a good person?. The American Dream has a price !. Witness the price of the American Dream !. Joe was once a good man !.

This is a very good movie about mobsters and with plenty of intrigue , drama , magnificent production design and over-the-top performances . The film was lavishly produced by great producers such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, David Webb, Brittany Hapner, Dennis Lehane, Jennifer Todd, Chris Brigham and Ben Affleck himself. The main cast, Ben Affleck, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldaña, gives nice acting, along with a prestigious support cast, such as: Elle Fanning, Chris Messina, Remo Girone, Brendan Gleeson, Matthew Maher, Titus Welliver, Clark Gregg, Anthony Michael Hall and special mention for Chris Cooper.

. There is also a deep description of gangster fights that is quite reminiscent of those historically fought by Salvatore Maranzano, who eventually defeated the faction headed by rival Joseph Masseria, and subsequently emerged Lucky Luciano, the most powerful boss of the Mafia and leader of Cosa Nostra, who soon became a chief in the Reina Family during the height of the Castellammarese War.

There's a brilliant and luxurious cinematography by Robert Richardson. As well as a sensitive and moving musical score by Harry Gregson-Williams. The motion picture was well acted/produced/directed by Ben Affleck, although it becomes very long and somewhat tedious, it would have been necessary to cut some superfluous scenes. Ben Affleck is the famous actor of blockbusters such as: Armageddon (1998), Shakespeare in Love (1998), and Pearl Harbor (2001), Changing Lanes (2002), The Sum of All Fears (2002), and Daredevil (2003), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), and Justice League (2017) playing Batman. He reprised the role in Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) and he will next appear as Batman in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023) and The Flash (2023). He ventured into directing in 2007, with the thriller Gone Baby Gone (2007), which starred his brother, Casey Affleck, and was well received. He then directed, co-wrote, and starred in The Town (2010), which was named to the National Board of Review Top Ten Films of the year. For the political thriller Argo (2012), which he directed and starred in, Affleck won the Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award for Best Director, and the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, and BAFTA Award for Best Picture (Affleck's second Oscar win). Live by night (2016) rating: 6.5/10.

  • A pleasant road movie in which Ernesto Alterio's performance stands out far above the rest.

After five years in Morocco, working in the Spanish-Moroccan company of Magnesium Mario (Ernesto Alterio) is eager to return to Spain. The day before he's to leave, a fax tells him to meet the boss's teen daughter (Elena Ballesteros). She and a red Jaguar arrive by ferry. Mario postpones his trip to get her situated, but the next day, at the noisy zoco of the Kasbah, she and her car disappear. The father (Adolfo Fernandez) and mother (Maru Valdivieso) of the girl deny sending a fax, suspects she left Spain to join Mario, and thinks Mario killed her. Dad hires a murderous butcher (José Sancho) to track Mario, who wants to find her for reasons not initially apparent. While Mario's search takes him south toward Mauritania, his path crosses that of Alix (Natalia Verbeke), and Lua (Lucía Jiménez), Spanish actresses on holiday. But then things go wrong.

A drama in the form of a road movie with elements of comedy, emotion, romance, thrills, intrigue and brief violence. The film stands out for its comprehensive portrayal of Moroccan customs, landscapes, inhabitants, towns, and cities. It offers a broad portrait of the Moroccan way of life, lifestyle, and habits. . And dequately shot with large sightseeing from Marrakech, Ouarzazate, and Tangier, Morocco. Throughout the film, our peculiar protagonist, Ernesto Alterio, who gives a good performance, experiences a series of diverse incidents with the local inhabitants, including being deceived by swindlers, car accidents, deceptions, and even a brutal beating from a thug. Along with the always capable Ernesto Alterio there are various actors delivering fine acting such as: Natalia Verbeke, José Sancho, Elena Ballesteros, underutilized Lucía Jiménez, Maru Valdivieso and recently deceased Adolfo Fernández. It displays an evocative musical score with plenty of Marocco sounds. In addition, a colorful and brilliant cinematography by Carles Gusi (Yucatán, El Niño, Las leyes de la frontera)

The motion picture was well directed by Mariano Barroso. He is a renowned Spanish film director, screenwriter, and producer, winner of three Goya Awards. • A tense and terrifying survival story made in short budget and a few actors.

A woman (Kiersey Clemons) washes ashore a small uninhabited island after an accident. The situation turns from bad to worse when she realizes there is a mysterious creature hunting at night.

This is a semi-remake to ¨Predator¨, told in terms of a deadly confrontation with an over seven-foot-tall monster on the loose . Dealing with a giant insect submariner-like specie with super powers , lurks on the beach and in the lush jungle, waiting for prey . It's a brutal , exciting and violent Sci-Fi thriller with gory action and little logic . There's spectacular scenes with a fantastic creature attacking human preys. The storyline is reported to only be 70 pages in length due to the limited amount of dialogue in this film. So we ought sit through the creature dispatch enemies one by one before the ending showdown comes , leaving the utter mechanics of the thing to keep our interest buzzing . The final confrontation is particularly exciting stuff , even though it makes no great sense . The result is thoroughly unpleasant but undeniably thrilling action movie with acceptable special effects and special make-up.

This is an ordinary film within the Jason Blum factory, and therefore follows the coordinates of the modern production company: the rules for making a cheap movie include: 1) Limit the amount of speaking parts, because actors with lines get an additional fee; 2) Limit the amount of locations (preferably only one); 3) Pay actors the legally minimum, and offer them a percentage of perspective profits; 4) Never break the budget, don't ask for more money ("don't buy your way out of a problem, but solve it creatively").

The motion picture was professionally directed by J. D Dillard, but he takes elements of other most known films. J. D. Dillard is known for Devotion (2022), Sweetheart (2019) and Sleight (2016), Judy Goose (2006 and TV series as The Twilight Zone(2019-2020) and Utopia (2020) . Rating: 5/10. Average but passable.

  • A mediocre comedy with charming moments, starring the always endearing Gracita Morales.

Guadalupe (Gracita Morales, with her usual winks and distinctive voice) is an orphan girl who has been taken in since childhood by Eulalio (Erasmo Pascual) and Eufrasia (Matilde Muñoz Sampedro), who encourage her to steal and commit crimes. She refuses to become a petty criminal and, to avoid it, Guadalupe runs away. In a park, she is so hungry that she tricks some children into giving them a snack. The girl tries to live independently, but failures pile up, until she accidentally meets Nena (Mara Laso), a young woman from a good family, with whom she forms a sincere friendship. She becomes indispensable to the family, takes a job as a maid, and befriends the butler (Ángel Ter).

The story follows a simple, straightforward, and lightweight plot concerning an orphaned girl forced to steal until she runs away with her cat and canary. Driven by hunger, she enters the home of a wealthy woman who takes pity on her and hires her as a maid. Carlos Arniches's play of the same name has been adapted into three very different films. One is a silent film directed in 1926 by Antonio Calvache, starring Josefina Ochoa, Elena Salvador, and Fernando Díaz de Mendoza; and two other versions are sound films: one from 1943, considered the best, directed by Ramón Quadreny and starring Josita Hernán, Juan Espantaleón, and a young Fernando Fernán Gómez. The other, from 1962, is not as compelling as the previous one and merely recounts a series of incidents suffered by the protagonist, following Arniches's original work more or less faithfully.

In the feature film, only Gracita Morales stands out in the role of the young woman who decides to leave home in the company of a goldfinch and her inseparable cat. She was one of the most beloved Spanish actresses of all time. Her talent for comedy was enhanced by her distinctive and captivating voice; she was especially known for "Operación Mata-Hari" (1968), "Más bonita que ninguna" (1965), and "La chica del gato" (1964). Gracita Morales formed a popular duo with José Luis López Vázquez in films such as "Operación Mata-Hari," "Operación Cabaretera," "Sor Citroën," "Un vampiro para dos," and "Los Palomos." Her greatest success came with "Sor Citroën," where she played a very funny and touching nun. She was the sister of actors Ana María Morales and Pepito Morales, whom she sometimes portrayed in her films.

As with most comedies of the era, the film is notable for its large cast of supporting characters, the main source of fun being guessing which actor will appear in the next frame. Among them are Ángel Ter, María Laso, Gabriel Llopart, Matilde Muñoz Sampedro, Erasmo Pascual, Carmen Porcel, José Sepúlveda, Josefina Serratosa, Lola Lemos, Rufino Inglés, José Riesgo, and the ever-present supporting actor Xan das Bolas. Special mention goes to Antonio Vico, who is uncredited, for his brief appearance as a mute, gesticulating man, lending the film a comical and endearing quality.

The film was professionally directed, albeit unevenly, by Clemente Pamplona and has nothing particularly noteworthy about it. He was a craftsman who wrote and directed several films. Clemente began by writing propaganda films about the Spanish Civil War, such as *Cerca del cielo* (1951) and *Dos Caminos* (1953). His film debut was a thriller: Pasos de Angustia (1957), followed by others in a similar style such as Historia de un hombre (1961) and Kilometro 12 (1962). Other films included Farmacia de Guardia (1958), which weaves together various stories, and his great success for which he is best remembered: Don José, Pepe y Pepito (1959), based on the comedy by Ignacio Luca de Tena, and his most personal work, Historia de un hombre (1961), which combines realism and poetry. Rating for La Chica del gato: 4.5/10. Only recommended to fans of Gracita Morales, if there are any.

  • A white boy raised by the Sioux, well played by Heston, must choose sides when the Sioux threaten to go to war against the Whites.

The only white survivor of a Crow Indian raid on a wagon train is a young boy. He is rescued by the Sioux, and the instantly adopted by Yellow Eagle (Ian MacDonald) chief of this Miniconju branch of the Sioux, who raises him as an Indian in very way. The young boy becomes a brave warrior, with the name of War Bonnet (Charlton Heston) Sioux chief . Meanwhile, the adopted young Indian forms relationships with members of the tribe, especially with Luta (Joan Taylor). Years later, the white men and the Sioux threaten to go to war and the Indian-raised white man is torn between his racial loyalties and his adopted tribe. Later on, War Bonnet is sent to talk to the soldiers because "he know the tongue of his childhood¨. White Man by birth! Savage by heart!. Fearless warrior loved by two girls - one white, one Indian!. He Loved As He Fought...Like The Savage He Was!.Charlton Heston ...fresh from his triumph in "The Greatest Show on Earth" Savage in Battle...Savage in Love! In his arms a woman forgot everything...remembered only that he was a man!

Pretty good serious Western with George Marshall's inspired direction and a notable Charlton Heston. A modest Western that represents one of the first more or less serious approaches to the figure of the Native American, a subject already explored in Delmer Daves' classic film ¨Broken Arrow¨. A young Charlton Heston, in one of his first films as a leading man, plays a man caught between the two opposing sides. Based on the novel The Renegade by L. L. Foreman, director George Marshall delivers a polished and competent film, occasionally entertaining, though not particularly remarkable, focusing more on the protagonist's doubts than on providing a comprehensive view of the power struggle between whites and Native Americans. This fresh, decent picture gets Western action , shootouts , marvelous outdoors by cameraman John F. Seitz, Indian attacks, a lot of attractive roles and turns to be quite entertaining . It's a medium budget film with good actors , technicians, production values and pleasing results. This spirited realization that never flags, resulting to be a pro-Indian Western, In which the whites and the American soldiers are not portrayed negatively.

The motion picture well produced by Paramount Pictures was directed in sure visual eye by George Marshall . He realized a variety films of all kind of genres , though especially Western , the best are starred by James Stewart and Glenn Ford . Marshall directed Western along half century , his first Western was ¨Wild gold¨(1934) and he subsequently made his masterpiece ¨Destry rides again¨(1939) in which combines action , charmingly natural story , humor and drama ; in 1951 directed a new version under title ¨ Frenchie ¨ with Eddie Murphy and Marie Blanchard in similar characters to James Stewart and Marlene Dietrich . As Marshall introduces comicalness in realist Western , including a little genre satire on the conventional Western thrown in for good measure . As he directed Western with funniness such as ¨Texas¨ starring Glenn Ford and Edgar Buchanan . He went on filming parody/western such as ¨Fancy pants¨(1950) , ¨Advance to the rear¨(1964), and musical Western as ¨Red Garters¨and ¨The second greatest sex¨. Others Western he directed are the following : ¨When Dalton rode¨, ¨Valley of the sun¨, ¨The savage¨, ¨Pillars of sky¨, ¨the guns of Fort Petticoat¨ and the episode titled ¨The railway¨ from ¨How the West was won¨ . The Savage rating: 6.5/10. The film will appeal to Charlton Heston fans.

  • A lackluster and poorly scripted action thriller, starring a Seagal in clear decline.

Chris Cody (Steven Seagal)is a mercenary recently released from prison when the US ambassador in Montevideo is assassinated by a terrorist group that simultaneously hijacks a nuclear submarine with the intention of using it in their power struggles and drug trafficking. Meantime a Delta Force commando team led by Sharpe (Gary Daniels) is sent to Uruguay to investigate, but they're quickly ambushed. As Navy recruits Cody and his crew (Vinnie Jones, Alison King, P. H. Moriarty, among others) to take Dr Chappell (Christine Adams) and special agent Fletcher (William Hope) with them in an effort to destroy the facility and take down Lehder (Nick Brimble). So Cody has to infiltrate a military facility run by a scientist who has taken over a nuclear sub. The Trapped beneath the waves . . . But hardly out of his depth ! Cody travels to Uruguay to stop them. Under water, under cover !. He found the enemy... on the wrong side !. At 20,000 fathoms the only creature more dangerous than a biological mutant is...man !. Terror has been launched undersea !.

A Steven Seagal in the midst of his cinematic decline is the absolute star of this action film, which went straight to video. The film's only redeeming feature is a few spectacular and tense action scenes in its final act, filmed in an opera house. The production, filmed in Bulgaria and with a rather modest worldwide box office, was highly controversial in Uruguay, and even the country's president protested the image of a drug-trafficking dictatorship it portrayed. This film is relatively famous due to its egregious contextual errors: national books written in French and Italian, blonde natives dressed and with Central European physiques, suicide bombers with Mexican accents, Mayan cities, high mountains, fjords, and even Argentine flags on official buildings. Despite these controversies, the film was quite popular in Uruguay and sold out in the country's video stores.

The motion picture was badly directed by Anthony Hickox. Steven Seagal and Anthony Hickox disagreed on much of the film which eventually resulted in Seagal leaving the movie. About working with Steven Seagal, Anthony Hickox stated: ¨ He is a nightmare! He's impossible; he doesn't turn up, he refuses to say any line that's written, it's just ridiculous. I sat back when I was making it and said "I'm a better director than this" so I went back to what I like to do, which is write and direct horror¨. Anthony is great-grandson of Lord J. Arthur Rank, founder of the British film industry and son of the prestigious director Douglas Hickox and editor Anne V. Coates . Anthony ften uses a dual-focus technique in which one person's face would take up most the screen in profile, with another person shown on the other half of the screen in the background. After shooting his first short 'rock-a-bye baby', Anthony was to L. A. where met the producer of 'Waxwork', Staffan Ahrenberg, when he crashed into the back of his car in the motel they were both staying at on Fairfax. Tony, broke at the time, talked Staffan into letting him pay for the damage by writing him a script for $3000 only. Staffan agreed, but wouldn't pay a penny until it was delivered. Tony wrote it in three days the successful Waxwork and he subsequently directed it.

Other films that Anthony has directed, of all kinds of genres, but with a preference for action/thriller, and with varying degrees of success, are the following: ¨Blast, Knife Edge, Last Run, Invasion of Privacy, Prince Valiant, Two, Extreme, Contaminated Man, Jill Rips, Storm Catcher, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, Payback, Full eclipse, Warlock: The Armageddon , Waxwork II: Lost in Time, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat¨, among others. 'Submerged' rating: 3.5/10. Below average.

  • A routine but sometimes charming comedy about various chance encounters, misfortunes and incidents that happen to people who have bought an apartment.

Four families are considering buying an apartment in a newly built building in Madrid. Margarita (Concha Velasco), a young and modern woman, wants to marry Ernesto (Pedro Osinaga), who raises many objections to the wedding, the main one being his fiancée's lifestyle as an artistic painter. Doña Antonia (Florinda Chico) and Doña Loreto (Rafaela Aparicio), aunt and niece, run a boarding house that doubles as a brothel, and now want to move to conceal their lifestyle before the arrival of Doña Loreto's studious daughter (Fernanda Hurtado) to study at university. Ana (Laly Soldevila) and Federico (Antonio Ozores), a father who lives with his mother-in-law, are also considering a move. Ana aspires to a better life with a promotion at the office of the lecherous José Sazatornil. And the mature couple Emilia (María Asquerino) and Lorenzo (José Luis López Vázquez), a widowed couple in love, are ready to start a new life together despite the opposition of their respective older children (Manolo Otero, Maria Kosti). Also living in the building is the beautiful Dolores Mingues (Gela Geisler), who is eagerly pursued by many neighbors because of her stunning beauty.

This is a run-of-the-mill film in the sixties and seventies style with the usual modest means and dealing with ordinary couples with their desires, concerns and peculiar situations that arise when when they buy an apartment in a housing development. There are some gags and likeable set pieces but the result is quite monotonous and nothing special. This is one of the many films made by the prolific Ozores about the intertwined stories of couples, but again, it's rushed, clumsy, and lacks charm. There are a splendid cast with plenty of familia Spanish faces in which Antonio Ozores shines as the family man campaigning for campaigning to be President of the neighborhood association who discovers that Don Julio, sympathically played by José Sazatornil 'Saza' owns the building and has a mistress living there. And also noteworthy Rafaela Aparicio with her usual winks and distinctive voice, and, of course, José Luís López Vazquez as a widower who relentless desires to sleep with his widowed girlfriend.

The film stands out for the large number of Spanish supporting actors of the time who appear continuously; this is because the main entertainment is guessing which supporting actor appears in a brief or longer role, among whom the following are worthy of mention: María Asquerino, Laly Soldevila, Pedro Osinaga, Fernanda Hurtado, María Kosty, Manolo Otero, María Isbert, Álvaro de Luna, Mariano Ozores Francés (father of Mario and Antonio Ozores), Pilar Gómez Ferrer, Erasmo Pascual, Florinda Chico, Rafael de Penagos, Julia Caba Alba, among others. To this day, all the main and supporting actors have sadly passed away with the exception of Maria Kosti.

The film was mediocrely directed by Mariano Ozores with its ups and downs. Stajanovist filmmaker Mariano Ozores, though it failed at boxoffice and it results to be an obscure film . Mariano directed a large number of comedies and in 1964 shot a Sci-fi flick : La hora incognita . As Mariano Ozores wrote , produced and directed the former movie, but was a real flop and he was bankrupt. Then Mariano promised at the future only to make comedies . Although it won prize of the National Syndicate of Spectacle to best actor José Luis Ozores and Best artistic Achievement . Mariano recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career. Ozores made a trilogy about the life of married couples, which also includes ¨Crónica de nueve meses¨ (1967), ¨Cuatro noches de boda¨(1969)¨, ¨Después de los nueve meses¨ (1970) and this ¨Venta por por pisos¨ is a kind of continuation of the previous ones. Ozores made with two famous comedians , -Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares- several successful films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨ , ¨El Hijo Del Cura¨, .these films are filled with humor that still holds up , especially for those not easily offended . Mariano directed 93 films , most of them were comedies , though made some dramas as "Alegre Juventud" and "Las Dos y Media y veneno" with José Luis Ozores. Mariano directed a lot of comedies for the greatest Spanish comedians as Paco Martinez Soria , José Luis López Vázquez , Lina Morgan , Alfredo Landa , Jose Sacristán and the successful duo : Fernando Esteso and Andrés Pajares. 'Venta por pisos' rating: 5/10. Only recommended for Spanish comedy fans.

  • A lame, unfunny comedy with a great but wasted Spanish cast.

Ana (María Barranco) works in an office where the things are going very badly. One night after having dinner with a wealthy couple (Antonio Resines, Paloma Lago) she has a discussion with her husband Miguel (Ramon Madaula). He dissapears to with his mistress and then the life of Ana changes: she has incredible luck in gambling. And then she goes to find his aunt Rosa (Pilar Bardem) to tell her about her desperation over her husband's disappearance and how lucky she is at gambling.

The story of interior designer Ana (Maria Barranco) separating from her lawyer husband (Ramón Madaula) is narrated with both characters speaking directly to the camera and through a series of flashbacks. It can be summarized in the traditional phrase: "Lucky in cards, unlucky in life," since the more personal disasters befall Ana, the more often she wins the lottery, roulette, and other games of chance. In Cuermos de Mujer (Horns of a Woman), director Urbizy proves that he is not a filmmaker suited to the comedy genre, unlike in his other films where he is fully qualified for the action, intrigue and thriller genres.

Following the films "How to Be a Woman and Not Die Trying" (1991) with Ana Belén and "How to Be Unhappy and Enjoy It" (1993) by Enrique Urbizu, producer Andrés Vicente Gómez, along with Andrñés Vicente Gómez y Carlos Vasallo, complete the trilogy of comedies based on the highly successful books by Carmen Rico Godoy with this production. Also directed by Urbizu, from a screenplay by the same author, with the collaboration of the prestigious director Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón. In this third and final part of the trilogy, the fragmented aspect of the previous two films has disappeared, but at the cost of a minimal story and even less interest than the first two. For all these reasons, "Cuernos de Mujer" (Woman's Horns) was a resounding box office failure and was rightly denigrated by film critics.

In ¨Cuernos de mujer¨ stands out the appearances of notorious Spanish secondaries, such as: Pilar Bardem, Santiago Ramos, Julia Martínez, Paloma Lago, Víctor Valverde, Txema Blasco, Santiago Segura, Antonio de la Torre in his first role as a taximan, Saturnino García, Antonio Resines and brief interpretation by the indispensable Santiago Segura as a false blind.

There is a good technical section with lively and attractive music by composer Bingen Mendizábal; as well as a colorful cinematography by veteran cameraman Juan Amorós, filmed in Madrid, Valladolid, Valladolid, Castilla y León and Altea, Alicante, Comunidad Valenciana. The motion picture was badly directed by Enrique Urbizu. He is a specialist on Thriller as proved in ¨Todo Por la Pasta¨, ¨Cachito¨ , ¨La Vida Mancha¨ this ¨Caja 507¨ and on comedy such as ¨Cuernos Mujer¨, ¨Como Ser Infeliz¨ and ¨Tu Novia esta Loca¨ but especially Urbizu is the director of No Peace For The Wicked (No Habra Paz Para Los Malvados), an upcoming 'tough cop with big gun' movie coming out of Spain , this is his best film surpassing even "La Caja 507" that won various Goya awards . ¨Cuernos de mujer¨ rating: 3.5/10. Below average.

  • A thriller with a twisted and complicated plot, starring a good cast.

The CIA discovers that one of its agents leaked information that cost the lives of over 100 people, and veteran agent Henry Pelham (Chris Pine) must unmask the mole among his former colleagues at headquarters in Vienna. So, CIA has reopened the case of Turkish Alliance 127, a 2012 terrorist hijacking which ended in tragedy. Headquarters suspects there was a leak from the Vienna station, where Henry and Vick (Laurence Fishburne) work. His investigation takes him from Austria to England and then to California, where he reunites with his former partner and lover, Celia Harrison (Thandiwe Newton). Celia, now married and retired, meets Henry in a restaurant after he reaches out to her and asks her to dinner. From now on, they are a couple of former lovers who must blur the lines between professional and personal.

It's a gripping story of global espionage, moral ambiguity, and deadly betrayal. It's packaged with thrills, intrigue, suspense, and twists and turns. The acclaimed Danish director Janus Metz delivers efficient direction, but it lacks suspense and action, and Olen Steinhauer's screenplay falls short. Thus, the film dwells too long on providing excessive and sometimes confusing flashbacks, meticulously detailing the love story between the two agents, and containing abundant scenes of love and nudity. The film relies heavily on multiple perspectives, timelines, and interviews, in which Henry, Vick, and Celia hope to find out what actually happened that day. The cast also includes other acclaimed actors such as Laurence Fishburne as Vick the head of the Agency, Corey Johnson as Austrian intelligence agent, Ahd Kamel, Jonjo O'Neill and Jonathan Pryce as Celia's mentor.

The motion picture was professionally directed by Janus Metz, though it results to be some tedious, slow and boring. Danish director Janus Metz (born 1974) has a large body of work also including shorts, commercials, art films, music videos, motion pictures and documentary as ¨Heartbound: A Different Kind of Love Story¨ (2018). Janus stepped firmly into the international spotlight winning the Grand Prix of the Cannes film festival 's Critic's week with ¨Armadillo¨(2010), dealing with a group of Danish soldiers are sent to Afghanistan in 2009 for 6 months, to help stabilize the country against the Taliban and they're stationed on Armadillo military base in Helman province. It spurred heated debate, not only about the war but also about the boundaries between fiction and documentary filmmaking. With his debut narrative feature "Borg/McEnroe" (2017), Metz made an even bigger splash opening the Toronto Film Festival. Metz has also directed an episode of the acclaimed TV.series "True Detective", 3 episodes of the series "ZerZeroZero" , as well as the successful ¨Andor¨ TV series. ¨All the old Knives¨, rating: 5.5/10. Average, only for Chris Pine fans.

  • A sad, slow, and thought-provoking film about some young people immersed in drugs in San Sebastián in the eighties.

Juan (Martxelo Rubio) , Patxi (Jon San Sebastián), and Maite (Maribel Verdú) are three young people from San Sebastián who navigate their conflicts, the typical problems of eighteen-year-olds, and their uncertainty about the future. Patxi works unloading cargo at the port, while Juan and Maite are a couple and heroin addicts. Every day they have to endure a harrowing ordeal to find enough money to buy their fix. As Jon, a twenty-year-old boy from San Sebastián, gets up at seven in the morning and, from that moment on, he carries out a heavy and unfortunate life. They sometimes get the money from their middle-class parents and other times by doing odd jobs, not always legal. The story unfolds over 27 hours in the lives of these three characters, bound by a strong friendship, who must choose their destiny and whose relationships will be tragically cut short.

This is Montxo Armendáriz's second film, following his cinematic debut with Tasio and preceding Las cartas de Alou. Dealing with the friendship among three good friends, love, family relationships, their confusion about the future and, above all, their dark passion for drugs. It was written by Armendáriz and produced by Elías Querejeta. It was awarded the Silver Shell at the San Sebastián Film Festival and nominated for a Goya Award for Best Film.

Without fanfare, Armendáriz masterfully portrays the period of time that gives the film its title, revealing the circumstances that have led the two protagonists, Rubio and Verdú, to this daily hell. Antonio Banderas's presence and performance are noteworthy, in one of his early films before achieving stardom.

There's an evocative and atmospheric cinematograpy from San Sebastián o Donosti by notorious cameraman Javier Aguirresarobe, who would go on to have a long career, even working in Hollywood on blockbuster films. . Producer and co-writer Elías Querejeta and the prestigious cinematographer Javier Aguirresarobe had a bad relationship trough the whole movie, to the point that Querejeta told Aguirresarobe that he thought he wasn't born to be a director of photography. The film was well directed by Armendáriz, although it turns out to be somewhat slow, tedious, and boring, which is why it may not appeal to a general audience. In fact, the film flopped at the Spanish box office, although it is now better viewed in retrospect. Montxo is a well recognized director both nationally and internationally, and in proof of it he won many prizes in several Festivals . Montxo Armendáriz was born in Navarra, and his films are mostly set in this Spanish region . He is a nice writer and director, expert on dramas , being especially known for Tasio (1984) , 27 hours (1986) , Cartas a Alou (1990) , Secretos del Corazón (1997), Silencio roto or Broken silence (2001) , Obaba (2005), and his last film : No Tengas Miedo (2011) . 27 Horas Rating : 5.5/10 . Worthwhile watching . The flick will appeal to Spanish cinema enthusiasts.

  • A funny and endearing Spanish comedy by Heredia with the best acting cast of the time.

An argument at the Circulo Mercantil in Madrid during a game of dominoes leads the serious businessman Evelino Galindo (Manolo Gómez Bur) to challenge one of his playmates, the womanizing Orcajo (José Bódalo) to a duel the following day at four in the afternoon. Orcajo challenges his opponent to death and Evelino is afraid it will end in tragedy. Fearful of the beating he might receive, and with the help of his occasional friend Toledano (Rafael Alonso), they go to the Price Circus to hire some clowns to pretend to hit them in the café Orcajo frequents, hoping to impress him. Later, they even buy a head from a corpse to frame him for a supposed crime. But the situation becomes increasingly complicated, resulting in dire consequences.

With these elements described in the previous summary, screenwriter and director José Luís Saenz de Heredia creates one of his best comedies, where a certain political dimension regarding international espionage is present. However, the Euro-spy genre, which was very prolific in the sixties, was already developing at that time.

It should be noted that, imitating the master Alfred Hitchcock, José Luís Saenz de Heredia himself appears at the beginning to explain the film's title: how the mustard seed is very small and gives rise to the growth of a very large tree; thus underscoring the moral of his story and introducing the main character, excellently portrayed by Manolo Gómez Bur, playing Evelio Galindo, a normal man who has a porcelain shop who is challenged to death. As the game progresses, Evelino will realize the mistake he has made, trying to sneak by all means with the help of his friend, finely acted by Rafael Alonso, both of whom are the two main protagonists, shinning brilliantly.

The film stands out for the large number of Spanish supporting actors of the time who appear continuously; this is because the main entertainment is guessing which supporting actor appears in a brief or longer role, among whom the following are worthy of mention: Amparo Soler Leal, Gracita Morales, José Bódalo, Eulália del Pino, Antonio Garisa, Salvador Soler Marí, Rafael López Somoza, Paco Morán, Mariano Azaña, Gustavo Re, Pablo Sanz, Erasmo Pascual, Adriano Domínguez, Agustín González, Goyo Lebrero, Beni Deus, José Riesgo, José María Tasso, Margot Cottens, Lorenzo Robledo, Rafael Hernández, Valentín Tornos and Rafaela Aparicio.

The movie packs an atmospheric cinematographyin black and white by José F. Aguayo and mostly shot in Madrid interior scenarios . And evocative and slight musical score by Juan Quintero. Both of them, the cameraman and the musician, were regular collaborators of the director. The motion picture was well directed by Jose Luis Saenz de Heredia. This fimmaker was a classic Spanish director who in his last times made mediocre comedies . Heredia was a controversial figure in Spain because of his strong and unabashed support to dictator Francisco Franco. He was a prolific writer and directed getting gret successes in the forties and fifties as El Escándalo, Raza , El destino se disculpa , Bambú, Mariona Rebull, Las Aguas bajan Negras , La Mies es mucha , Don Juan , Los ojos dejan huellas , Historias de la Radio, Faustina, Diez fusiles esperan . Throughout the Sixties he made a number of comedies usually starred by Paco Martinez Soria , Manolo Escobar , Lina Morgan, Alfredo Landa or Concha Velasco with whom had a long artistic relationship , such as : Pero en que país vivimos , El Taxi de los conflictos, Relaciones casi públicas, Se armo el Belen, Don Erre que Erre , La verbena de la Paloma, La decente , Me debes un muerto, Cuando los niños vienen de Marsella , Solos ante el Streaking, among others . El grato de mostaza rating. 6.5/10. Above average Spanish comedy. It is especially recommended for fans of classic Spanish cinema.

  • A routine action film in the same style as previous entries, offering nothing new.

A below average follow-up stars Chad Michael Collins, Ryan Robbins and Dennis Haysbert. An elite team of snipers and intelligence agents join forces to stop an international criminal network that threatens global security. So, ace Sniper Brandon Beckett and the newly formed Global Response and Intelligence Team (G. R. I. T.) deploy to Malta to eliminate an international terrorist plot and rescue fellow Agent, Lady Death. Once again Sniper Brandon Becket (Chad Michael Collins) teaming up with his former allies Homeland Security Agent Zero (Ryan Robbins) and assassin Lady Death (Luna Fujimoto who replaces Sakaya Akimoto) to uncover a dangerous terrorist group and take down the criminal organization. They go Malta to eliminate the leader of a dangerous terrorist sect called Bubalo (Paul Kissaun) Eventually, there also appears in the action the military officer Gabriel Stone(,Dennis Haysbert).

A familiar story with plenty of action, violence, shootouts and plot twists. Fairly generic action thriller with thrills, shootouts and bloody fights staged in some spectacualr and well-choreographed set pieces. An action thriller from writer and director Oliver Thompson, I assumed that it was a movie that was a part of the "Sniper" movie series that started back in 1993, you know, the movie with Tom Berenger and Billy Zane. There's action enough, being skillfully filmed with continuous cold-blooded crossfire and close-up deaths and the plot is cursory at best. Along the way the smooth running of the operation is swiftly jeopardised by growing tension, intrigue, twists, turns and shortfalls. The film follows a television style, it seems a typical episode of an usual series.

The motion picture was averagely and unvenly directed by Oliver Thompson. This is his third film; the first was Welcome to Happiness (2015), followed by the previous entry ¨Sniper: Rogue¨ concerning a plot about human traffick, and no warlike feats like the former outings.

The thrilling Sniper saga is made up of: ¨Sniper¨ 1992 by Luis Llosa stars Tom Berenguer, Billy Zane, J. T. Walsh, Aden Young, Dan Dye. ¨Sniper 2¨ , 2002, by Craig R Baxley with Tom Berenguer, Booker Woodbine, Linden Ashby. Sniper 3, 2004, by PJ Perce with Tom Berenguer Denis Ardnt, Byron Mann. ¨Sniper Reloaded¨ 2011 by Claudio Fah with Billy Zane, Chad Michael Collins,Patrick Lyster, "Sniper: Rogue¨ Mission" by Oliver Thompson starring had Michael Collins, Ryan Robbins; Dennis Hayxbert, among others. ¨Sniper GRIT¨ rating: 4,5/10, average. This film is only recommended for completists and dedicated fans of the Sniper series.

  • Dated but passable melodrama with emotion , adventures , and moving love stories.

The film is based on a notorious novel by Pio Baroja allegedly dealing with a real biography about Zalacaín , an orphan of father , that once roamed virile thirst for adventure The Basque Country, Third Carlist War (1872-1876). The work narrates several of the adventures and misadventures of a Basque boy, Martín Zalacaín. On the tomb of Martin Zalacain de Ubía, three old women Catalina (Elena Espejo), Rosa Briones (Margarita Andrey) and Linda (Rosario León) tell Pio Baroja the story of Zalacain, who, even as a young boy, was already complicating his life with dangers and adventures. He was born in the imaginary village of Urbía or Urbide, and raised by an old relative, Tellagorri, a cynic who runs the Arkale tavern. His sister, Ignacia, or "Iñasi," (María Dolores Pradera) is courted by Carlos de Ohando (Carlos Muñoz) , his enemy and brother of Catalina de Ohando, whom Zalacaín loves. To prevent Carlos from deceiving his sister Ignacia, Martín arranges for her to marry a friend of his, Bautista Urbide (Humberto Madeira) , the village baker's assistant. The couple moves to Zaro, a Basque-French village, but Bautista later accompanies Martín Zalacaín on many of his adventures during the outbreak of the Third Carlist War.

The dramatic and troublesome story of Martín Zalacaín, a brave and freedom-loving young man born in Urbía, as well as the story of his three great loves. It is based on the novel of the same name by Pío Baroja, and the narrator is the author himself. Zalacaín the Adventurer is based on a novel by the Spanish writer Pío Baroja whose first edition was printed in 1908 and today it holds a place of honor in the library of Spanish classics. It belongs to the tetralogy "Basque Country," which also includes The House of Aitzgorri (1900), The Heir of Labraz (1903), and The Legend of Jaun de Alzate (1922). It has been included in the list of the 100 best Spanish-language novels of the 20th century.

The film extensively recounts the adventures of Zalacain, well-portrayed by Virgilio Teixeira, who aptly portrays the role of a young man deeply in love with Catalina, but whose difference in social class makes their relationship impossible. Disillusioned, he becomes a smuggler, participating in the liberal rebellion during the Carlist War, while his love, Catalina, has been confined to a convent by order of her brother, Don Carlos.

Portraying Zalacaín who shows huge nostalgia for his country , his lovely childhood and dreaming youthful , his adventures and misadventures as a soldier, relationships with his townfolks and his loves . Classic Spaniard movie about family relation, adventure , dark secrets, romances and the inevitable , multiple drama with final surprise. This interesting as well as intimate story is a passionate retelling and a touching melodrama and, above all, emerges a deep fascination for the adventure, love and Basque land.

The settings are decent though mostly made in ¨Carton-Piedra (stone)¨ and in studio . It contains appropriate cinematography in black and white by José F. Aguayo. Atmospheric and lively musical score by Jan Quintero. The film was shot with a considerable budget for the time, boasting abundant technical resources and evocative sets, and was one of the great super-productions of the early 1950s, a period when papier-mâché sets were commonplace.

The novel was adapted for film, during Baroja's lifetime, in 1928 by Francisco Camacho starring Pio Baraja himself, along with his brother Ricardo Baroja and Pedro Larrañaga; later on, again in 1955 by director Juan de Orduña. Pio Baroja novesl have been adapted on big screen in Las inquietudes de Shanti Andía(1947) by Arturo Ruiz del Castillo and The Search (La busqueda 1966) by Angelino Fons.

The motion picture was well produced by Cifesa that along with Suevia Films /Cesareo Gonzalez were the most known production companies during Francoist period , that often financed these false but breathtaking historical spectacles .Being professionally directed by Juan de Orduña, but with some corny and dated moments . Being filmed in usual style of the forties and in stylistic scholarship , without leaving a trace the historical issues , in terms of dramatic and narrative excitement . Juán de Orduña adapted to cinema famous novels such as : ¨Cañas Y Barro¨ , ¨El Frente De Los Suspiros¨ , ¨Nobleza Baturra¨ , ¨Lola Se Va a Los Huertos¨ , being especially known for his historical renditions such as : ¨Teresa De Jesús¨ , ¨La Leona De Castilla¨ , ¨Agustina De Aragón¨ and ¨Locura De Amor¨ . His most successful picture was ¨El Ultimo Cuple¨ with Sara Montiel . ¨Zalacaín El Aventurero¨ rating: 6/10.

  • Amusing film in which a runaway puppet with boundless imagination and an abandoned stuffed animal toy in need of a friend cross paths in N.Y.

Based on an original idea by the Oscar-nominated writers of "Toy Story", this ¨The Inseparables¨ follows the misadventures of a peculiar duo up against all odds for an epic adventure. Don, a runaway puppet with a boundless imagination and, D. J. Doggy Dog, an abandoned stuffed animal toy in need of a friend, as they cross paths in Central Park and pair up against all odds for an epic adventure of friendship in New York City.

Designed with appropriate animation following current standards, the film alternates between 2D when the main character carries out his prodigious imagination; these frames are of traditional cartoon line with clear and sharp lines, and the rest of the images, most of them, are in 3D. From the writers of Toy Story comes a new animated buddy movie following the misadventures of a puppet and an abandoned stuffed animal toy - as they cross paths in Central Park and pair up for an epic adventure in New York City.

A delightful and heartwarming film about two unlikely friends: a puppet and a toy with boundless imagination, presented at the 2023 Annecy Festival, this charming animated feature for the whole family is brimming with imagination and adventure, bringing puppets and toys to life in New York City. The story follows a puppet who, tired of being a hopeless comic relief, becomes an adventurer in the big city, believing himself to be Don Quixote and embarking on numerous feats. Joining him in a buddy movie is a stuffed toy named DJ Doggy Dog, who has been abandoned and longs for a friend, which he finally finds in the endearing puppet. Of course, All the marionettes and puppets are inspired by the characters from "Don Quixote de La Mancha", written by Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra, in fact Don and DJ 'Didier' Doggy Dog are a kind of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza . These lovable characters embark on an epic adventure, full of friendship and courage, throughout the bustling city of New York, and specifically in Central Park.

  • A reboot with plenty of non-stop back flips and somersaulting that combine with computer graphics.

MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan), accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage-or why Outworld's Emperor Shang Tsung (Chin Han) has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family's safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee) at the direction of Jax (Mehcad Brooks), a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. As our heroes will have to confront restless enemies. Emperor Shang Tsung of Outworld sends his best warrior, the cryomancer Sub-Zero, to hunt him down. But our protagonist also knows nothing of the dragon-shaped mark he was born with. Those who possess this mark are the last hope for Earth realm, which has been defeated by Outworld in nine of the ten Mortal Kombat tournaments. Get over here !. Finish him!

The Mortal Kombat video game franchise is rebooted on the big screen with this film starring Anglo-Chinese actor Lewis Tan (Broken Star in Deadpool 2, Wu Assassins series), who plays Cole Young, a former MMA (mixed martial arts) champion accustomed to taking punches and beatings for money. Displays eye-popping FX and nifty martial arts sequences if they can block out the contrivance plot , lame acting and uneven narrative. Here the treacherous villain brings his evil horde of video-game fighters through a portal ripped in the universe and thereatens to destroy the Earth in this highly unnecessary adaptation.

Plenty of action and lots and lots of violence in this reboot of the film adaptation of the hugely popular video game franchise created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. This time, it's directed by award-winning commercial director Simon McQuoid, who makes his feature film directorial debut. The film is produced by James Wan (The Conjuring, Aquaman), Todd Garner (Into the Storm, Tag), E. Bennett Walsh (Men in Black: International, The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro), and McQuoid himself.

Other adaptations of this famous video game include: ¨Mortal Kombat 1: The Movie¨ 1995 by Paul W. S. Anderson starring Christopher Lambert, Talisa Soto, Cary Tagawa, Bridgette Wilson. ¨Mortal Kombat 2: Annihilation 1997 by John R. Leonetti starring James Remar, Robin Shou, Talisa Soto, Sandra Hess, Brian Thompson, Musetta Vander. And filming a sequel : ¨Mortal Kombat II¨(2025) by Simon McQuoid, starring Karl Urban, Jessica McNamee, Joe Taslim, Hiroyuki Sanada. The fan favorite champions -- now joined by Johnny Cage himself -- are pitted against one another in the ultimate battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm.

  • Tense psychological thriller with lots of blood and violence.

Randolph "Randy" Bradley (Johnny Berchtold) is a fast food worker in rural Louisiana who is slated to be promoted to manager, yet still submits to bullying by coworkers Chris (Matthew Laureano) and Jess (Jordan Sherley) . Randolph is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past. While Benson (Kyle Gallner) watches Randy being bullied and he tries to intervene; after being menaced by Chris to not interfere, Benson then goes to his car to take a double-barrelled shotgun and carries out a massacre. Randy reluctantly has to accompany to Benson who's undertaking a criminal spree. Ride or die!.

A brutal thriller with tension, suspense, including blood, and grisly violence. Strong psychological thriller with an unsettling battle of wits between two protagonists, Johnny Berchtold and Kyle Gallner. Both of whom give fine performances. So Johnny Berchtold is fine as a young man who is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past while helping his kidnapper to clean the bloody scenes. He must find a way to survive when his co-worker snaps and goes on a violent killing spree. The latter is chillingly portrayed by Kyle Gallner, who delivers the film's best performance as a deranged and vengeful young man seeking revenge against everyone, embarking on a murderous rampage.

Scott Smith interprets terror and thriller in a starkly direct way. Filmmaker Cotter Smith is an expert in body horror. His chilling short film Bugcrush established his credentials in this sub-genre: body horror, tapping into the paranoia and disintegrating group dynamics of the flesh-eating virus film Cabin Fever. Carter Smith is a craftsman who began his career in fashion photography. His breakthrough story included a series of raw, documentary-style portraits of teenage life in the Midwest, which appeared in the British magazine i-D. Since then, his fashion work and celebrity portraits have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Vogue, GQ, and W, all shot in the cinematic style that has become Carter's signature. He has directed commercials for clients such as Lancôme, Tommy Hilfiger, and Tiffany's. He collaborated with author Dennis Cooper on a feature film screenplay titled Warm. Scott Smith has written or directed several films, including Boys Life 6 (2007), Jamie Marks Is Dead (2014), Into the Dark (2019), Swallowed (2022), and The Passenger (2023), among others. And his most successful film was The Ruins (2008). The Passenger (2023) is rated 5.5/10. It's an acceptable and passable psychological thriller film with terror elements.
