"Fully Stockton" enters the short film genre as the first major production by multimedia artist Andrew Seaton-Elliott. A solid first entry, it was was screened at the Philadelphia Video Festival in November of 2006 with moderate acclaim. While not essential viewing for the occasional devote of Mr. Seaton-Elliot (see later works), a treat it is for fans of actor/musician Joshua McLaughin, whose portrayal of a troubled youth is much closer to the surreal than critics would want you to know. Featuring a score of all original material by house/apartment band Fiction Romance and Seaton-Elliott himself, I would recommend this title before I would do the same for some of Andrew's later, more polished artwork. Other recommendations (if possible to find): "Alone This Winter." The music of Andrew Seaton-Elliot is as well worth hearing for those lucky enough.
This might be the most disturbing, gut wrenching 20 min film that I have ever seen. I loved it. I saw Amor So de Mae as a precursor to The Last Horror Movie during the 2004 Philadelphia Film Festival, and was blown away by the chilling tale of sexual obsession and voodoo. I would highly recommend this short film purely for the atmosphere and sicking tension built by Ramalho. Also, as the title of this review suggests, the film contained a hefty amount of blood; however the use of this gore did not seem to be for the sake of a blood lusting audience. A warning to parents: not for children. A rare treat this film is. 10 of 10.
