This show continues the trend of the skam-remakes to brilliantly portray the ups and downs of adolescence. A clear recommendation from me!
This show takes a step back from Hollywood clichés and drama for the sake of drama. It explores important themes and stories without losing contact with reality. You get the feeling that the show creators really want to depict how growing up can be fun, difficult, lonely, wonderful and confusing. The show dares to keep a minimal tone, and focuses on everyday life - in real time! Don't forget to read the interactions between the characters that happens on social media.
The show also has a keen focus. Every season follows the life of one character, and the rest of the characters are more or less prominent that season, depending on their relationship with the main character. This is sort of similar to how it was done in SKINS for every episode, but works really well this way too. You really get attached to the main character and get the opportunity to really immerse into that person's life.
