I felt a need to remind those who had such negative reviews as if they were expecting something that was mind provoking. It's not too difficult to figure where things are going, but it does have its moments. I guess I found it more amusing than really funny most of the time. The way things are going on in the world these days...Anything that's not another horror story like seen on the nightly news every night...Is a positive in my book..

I just finished the series after stretching my watching into a couple months. I had read that the series was cancelled after just one season. That's so bad because the end of the last episode was definitely a set up for going into season two...A good old fashioned cliff hanger that now we will never see how things got resolved.

I don't know why, but it seems that Kevin Bacon keeps getting a lead roll in a very intense series, but they only last one or two seasons. I just don't get it. I mean in this series he gets killed then comes back to return daemons to hell (No spoiler since it's in the description). So I would think that would appeal to those who like a bit of horror mixed with a regular cop show theme. Yet somehow it's cancelled. The real head scratcher is it's in Prime so it's not like they were not getting enough viewers to sell commercials. So I just don't get it.

First off I have seen a longer and more thorough version of this. I'm not sure why this one was cut down so much. The original showed a crucial part of the story that was basically mentioned here, but didn't go into just how devastating it was. That is how getting the carpet yanked from the first location when they already did so much work and were pretty much on their schedule to have everything completed by the opening really harmed them big time. In this version they mentioned losing the first place, then moving to the second, but it seemed like just one of those things that happens.... It wasn't.

The first time I saw the longer version I was glad to find out so much more about what actually happened there. In fact in the longer version they spent more time on the commune who took charge of the food lines too. It's really amazing how they pulled off feeding so many kids there.

In the end as they do mention there were so many ways things could have screwed everything up, but thanks to many miracle happenings and helping hands it all just worked out peacefully.
