This is a highly entertaining film. It's very well made, has great music, fun concept and lots going for it. I wouldn't go into it expecting a particularly profound or revolutionary film, but for what it wants to do, it's effective. Not every movie is made to be a best picture winner, and I really respect when filmmakers lean into raw entertainment value.
It is kind of what I expected going into it, but not in a bad way. I didn't even watch the trailer-just saw the poster and had a decent idea of what to expect. If you can get past any cliche or predictable aspects, you'll enjoy yourself. Just go in blind, manage your expectations and you will have a good time.

Nathan Fielder is proving to be a generational talent that in recent years has demonstrated his range by consistently upping the ante and going the extra mile for his projects. He brings this unwavering vision that is so methodical and just hooks you and doesn't let go.
The Rehearsal is the perfect vessel to draw attention to an important topic in flight safety by presenting it in the digestible form of comedy rooted in cringe-inducing realism.
We've seen him tackle more serious topics before but this time around he seemingly also intends to make a positive change to the world we live in. This is not only effective comedy but also a thought provoking social experiment with profound implications.

Pretty much what I expected. Well-crafted, immersive, tense and lots of great acting. Great character building, specifically Catherine O'Hara who was my highlight of this episode. I'm loving the way she's playing this role, and her first scene with Pedro was intoxicating. The actress playing Abby is also doing a really good job so far, I'm excited to see how her story progresses.
Overall, there were a couple of exciting scenes, but that wasn't the focal point, just good world-building and setup. For the first episode of a season, you can really ask for much more. It's well made, and I have high hopes.
