At the end of the 90 minutes I spent watching it, I was left with nothing. Culkin, who won the best supporting actor award, was like a leading actor. The film was presented to the audience with a script written to stimulate emotions. But I can't say it's a very strong script. You can't feel it in your heart. There are dozens of mistakes in timing. Changing camera angles capture the actors in different body postures or at different distances from each other. Culkin has really achieved a great success with his acting. I can say it's an average film. You can watch it if you have nothing better to do.

There are some films that are admired even years after they are made. If I have to give an example, "Gone With The Wind" is this kind of film. But I can't say the same for "A bout de souffle". Maybe it was a good film considering the years it was made. But when you watch this 1960 film in 2025, it doesn't give you much. I didn't find the film good in terms of neither script nor direction. I must admit that I even got bored while watching it from time to time. I can say the acting is not bad. But I can state that I have also watched Belmondo's better performances. As a result, I can say that it was a below average film for me.
