Having never seen "Get Shorty", I'm not sure how seriously anyone is going to take my comments, but I'll give it a shot anyways because I can't pass up the opportunity to gush about how great this movie was! Most people would probably think that the movie was dominated by John Travolta's cool acting style. But it wasn't. The show was stolen by none other than Vince Vaughn and The Rock. I mean, Vince Vaughn's Raji character was absolutely hilarious! He played that role so well; i really believed that he was Raji. And as for Elliot (Rock), he was so over the top and really seemed to have fun with the role. And the eyebrow thing was classic!
The rest of the cast was great too; Uma Thurman and John Travolta continuing that chemistry that worked so well in Pulp Fiction. I loved all the music numbers and I absolutely adored all the cameos! I won't give them all away but a few are The Black Eyed Peas, Fred Durst, and Wyclef Jean. And that reminds me, Andre 3000's Dabu was side-splittingly funny! To see what I mean, you'll just have to watch it. Now I don't guarantee that you'll find it as funny as I did but if you like sarcastic, dry, and somewhat slap-stick humor, you'll LOVE it!

This movie was one of my favorites when I was younger. I am now 21 years old and I still love it and watch it whenever it comes on cable. The original concept of Lassie never really appealed to me, I guess because it was slightly before my time. However, I thought this movie brought the spirit of the original Lassie to kids who never got to experience Lassie when it was at it's best.
The main actor Thomas Guiry, who played the troubled Matt Turner, truly carried this film. He was also quite fortunate to be surrounded by other great actors such as Michelle Williams and Charlie Hofheimer.
I really loved this story because it expressed the true values of family and unconditional love. I recommend this film to families, children, and adults alike. I still love this movie and probably always will. I give it a 9 out of 10.
