After I finished Season 1 I couldn't believe what I saw and how excited I was that there was a unique angle for a super hero show. The characters were well developed, the stakes were high, there was a perfect mix of thrills and humor.
Season 2 fell off a bit but I thought to give it a chance.
Now I just am so happy Season 4 is over so I can clean off the utter mess of the show.
I would have preferred to watch a 5 minute recap of each episode of season 4 than to watch just one single episode.
What happened to this show?
There is this problem with TV writing there each season they take all the stakes and characters and push them too far. As if the only way we would be interested in the continuation of the show is if the push the boundaries constantly.
Season 1 pushed the boundaries of what a superhero show is. It would have been just fine sticking with that. Instead they took it too far and instead of focusing on story they focus on extreme boundary pushing.
Sad to see such a highlight of a show go off the rails so terribly.

Brad and George reprise their roles from the Ocean's movie(not actually but that's how it plays). As they've gotten older the banter has gotten slower, the timing slower, the blocking slower.
That's this movie, slow.
Slow can be good, but in this case, nothing happens in the slow except for the attempt at quick wit - which is actually slow.
The film felt like it wanted to be Michael Mann's Heat coffee shop scene between two legends, but that's it's flaw, it tries really hard to be something special.
I had high hopes that fell hard.
The story is also thin and unfolds at a glacial pace. This could have been truncated to a 45 minute one off episode of tv.

A story told out of order, think Memento or Pulp Fiction.
Or sort of whose done it or why dons it. You can tell they wanted to keep the audience on the edge of their seats until the very end for when everything finally comes together, but...
The problem, it's so damn easy to piece it all together within 20 minutes. So for the rest of the movie you are sort of just dragged along, waiting for the ending that you already know how it's going to end.
That's a huge problem with movies like this where they want to have a twist but their isn't enough story to twist around for it to be surprising to the audience.
