There were parts of the writing in the movie that was a bit clunky. At some points the movie is slow, then the movie is fast. I think it may have just been a creative choice on how to end it. I am wondering if they wanted to make a part two of furiosa but everything wrapped up in a haste.
Not sure why critics are raving about this movie. Both on IMDB and on RT. I feel Hollywood is struggling to survive. The movie definitely loses steam ironically in the second half. It looked visually good. But that's just about it. I could have ended up watching this when it came on streaming but paid the £19 GBP price for the movie.

I enjoyed this movie. And while it has its many laugh out moments, it certainly has some deeper aspects that it tries to shed light on. What I found surprising is that the characters were so well drawn out and each character will hit differently for different people.
It is must watch for you adults looking to settle down and considering long term life changing decisions like marriages or falling in / getting out of a relationship.
Life is complex. Everyone's got baggage. Everyone's a bit immature and everyone's got their quirks. Life can seem a bit random, but we yearn for a more grandiose outcome. But with time and age we make sense of the choices we make.

On the global scale, I would have given this movie a 7. But, since I am a malayalee and because there isn't really a lot of good horror out there. I gave it an 8!
Good horror is not always easy to come by. This one is termed 'Techno' Horror. My first throughs around the name was whether, this was going to be a bit like Black Mirror. However that wasn't the case exactly which is good - Could black mirror remake Chathur Mukham? - perhaps they could.
The movie sits more on the Techno side, less on the Horror side, but that necessarily isn't a bad thing. The movie could potentially be termed sci-fi/fantasy as well.
The movie over all looks beautiful with great cinematography, set against the beautiful city of Thiruvananthapuram. I used to live in Kochi and have visited TVM on occasions, however the I like the way the city with it's lighting and cell phone towers have been portrayed in the movie.
I don't want to talk too much about the plot, but the story uses a very practical and logical way to explain supernatural phenomena. Generally one does not expect to see themes around the occult explained in such a way. This was quite fresh and I really thought the writing was great.
Manju Warrier along with Sunny Wayne and Alancier Lopez is superb. I like how the characters are introduced and how they they team up to go deeper and deeper into this mystery. It's like an elite investigative team - reminiscent of 'The Ammityville Horror' or more recently - the conjuring!
Apart from that - I love all the little homages to different movies in the horror genre, I don't know if that was just me but - but there were lil pop references from blair witch to paranormal activity, the omen, sixth sense and most definitely the Exorcist.
Or maybe I made these connections because I have seen way too many horror movies.
In any case this is a decent horror flick. And I also feel this is a good 'gateway' horror flick into the horror genre. Generally a lot of people are put off by horror cause they expect it to be too gory or scary and don't seem to enjoy it. But there are good horror and this movie is a great first movie to venture into this genre.
Now all we need is for more great horror movies like this coming out from the Malayalam industry.
