As an old-skool sci-fi fan since TOS Star Trek, I really enjoyed the first Stargate movie in 1997.
I cannot even begin to describe how bad this one is. The storyline is somewhat weak, but acceptable. The movie itself is so uninspired, as if everyone (actors, director an producer etc) HAD to finish the job because the signed a contract. Everything is rushed, without attention to detail. So much about this movie is poor. I couldn't watch it till the end.
It seemed as if the had picked some parts from the old movie and the TV-series, and just randomly put it together to fabricate a movie.
It is really sad to watch (a part of) this kind of movie, and realise you could have done so many other more satisfying things with your time.

The series itself is extremely well acted, filmed, directed and edited. Very fine actors, and he story can't be any more dramatic and shocking. Get ready for the heartbreaking truth, spot-on and touching.
This mini-series could well be called a acted documentary and shows us in detail how the pharmaceutical industry has been (and still is) working for decades. Pushing dokters and hospitals to prescribe their addictive drugs (not medicines) using misleading marketing, false studies, outrageous marketing tricks and widespread bribery until the highest level of politics and law-enforcement. They knew exactly what they were doing, not interested in the health of the patients, but only in the number of zero's in their bank account.

Too many loose ends, personages that end up hanging in the air, unfinished storylines. And George Clooney does not convince. Interesting subject, could have been a great movie. Movie itself stays up in the air, and never lands :-)
