Such a good opportunity missed. This could have been great, but it felt unbelievable and contrived. I did wonder if it was written by someone with autism because it doesn't really seem aware of any social cues about how life works.
This isn't believable in the slightest. Bit of a fantasy world of some gay teen, with no grounding in reality. Oh look, a sexy man going through some stuff, being vulnerable, falling for someone not conventionally attractive. Always with the tormented gay character. Come on, we really can do better these days. This isn't the 90s any more where we just lap up any old tosh because of 'representation'. Needs a better script, more believable characters and a stronger base. How did this film even get made?

I started this film with very few expectations. However I was absolutely hooked to it.
It's fairly subtle and you have to keep your attention to really get engrossed in the paranoia of the loner of the story, You can feel his dread throughout, his shyness, his not wanting to engage with others, who somehow seem oblivious to his needs.
Soon you are engrossed in the movement of the characters and his paranoia. What are these people's intentions? Who can you trust? Is our main character in his right mind - or is it everyone else who is out of sorts?
I really loved going along with this and got very invested quite quickly. It's pretty great, and takes a bit of a turn towards the end which was not expected.
Great film.

Great film.
There doesn't really seem to be a plot here - some veiled thing at the beginning about tapes pieced together. Essentially it's just a load of naked men - quite nice ones at that - being supposedly 'spied upon' in their homes in London. Tame stuff, but nice male eye-candy.
Think about Drink Me (also with Darren Munn) and take out the vampire/story stuff and what's left is essentially here with a few more men.
The men in this are certainly clean - they never seem to be out of the shower for long!
I wish Mansfield Dark did more of this these days, but they seem to have moved in a different direction completely. Let's have more of the same here - sexy stuff, that you don't need to engage your brain for.
