How to get rid of the magog eggs. Oh wait, these are not the Magog. I don't know if I mind the crossover or not. I do think they could have come up with something better. I also think they could have done far better with Andromeda than they did and they could have continued with other series and moives. But we get to enjoy Star Trek even if they shift quality and dedication to what Star Trek is in each series. I have grown to like this series more and more even with its mistakes. And they did make this work without a tesseracting machine which is a plus. I would have to rate this series up there either as the second or third best. How they are doing such a better job over the Crying Burnham show is beyond me. How can there be two recent series that are polar opposites in the same universe?
I cannot believe that this movie has a 5.6. How did it rate so high? The first scenes you can't tell if it is flashbacks or current time. It switches back and forth from sea to land with no relationship to time. This continues far too long until the movie starts to set up what is happening.
Then you also start to wonder if the movie is entirely CGI. None of the actors look real when they are in scenes underwater. The company that created the special effects seemed to care more about showcasing their skills than adhering to a script or creating a realistic landscape.
The landscape is not of this world, nor in any way imaginable compared to the underwater realm. I have seen better scenes in movies from the 50's representing Atlantis.
The scenes, skills, and interactions are all jumbled up and make it very difficult to accept anything in this made up world.
I found it very difficult to stay with this movie and at the end I felt i wasted my time.

It definitely is not a kids' movie. I can guarantee you that but one scene is full of easter eggs. It's a stereotypical crime drama that isn't stereotypical. Ha! It is a movie that lets out all the socks and ... kitty... shots. You know one of those magazines. Lots of colorful language to match the puppets. This makes the apple dumpling gang look like amateurs. Also, no comparison between them.
I came to see what it was about and then come back to it later if I liked it. I stayed way too long for real-life obligations. In this movie, you will learn all about puppet vices and how they have the same problems as people, except they have fluff and we don't. You'll see plenty of fluff.
